‘Tis the Season to Shop Local: Discover Dublin Holiday Campaign Kickoff

On September 24, the Chamber, in partnership with the City of Dublin, kicked off the annual “Discover Dublin for the Holidays” shop local campaign with a presentation to local businesses. The free program is designed to teach Dublin citizens that every taxable dollar spent in Dublin benefits both the City and the local business community.

The annual campaign is driven through social media like the “Discover Dublin” Facebook page: www.facebook.com/discoverdublin, where businesses are given the opportunity to post information or ongoing promotions in order to attract local consumers. Events such as Small Business Saturday, a shopping event held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, are also a growing part of the shop local campaign.

New this year for participating businesses is the opportunity to pick up a limited quantity of custom “Discover Dublin” shopping bags for use during the busy holiday shopping season (first come, first served).

24th Annual “Turkey Bowl Classic” Sunday, November 23, 2014

Plans are underway for the 24th Annual “Turkey Bowl Classic” bowling tournament sponsored by the Dublin Chamber of Com merce. The tournament will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Earl Anthony’s Dublin Bowl in Dublin. Registration will begin at 1:00 PM.

The Chamber would like to invite you to participate in this year’s event. Sponsorships are $175.00 per team, a team consisting of five players. Each player will receive three games of bowling as well as shoes and a ball if needed. Awards will be presented in various categories at the conclusion of the event. Team sponsors will be announced and recognized for their sponsorship.

We hope you will join us in this year for a fun-filled afternoon with fellow members. Please complete the inserted yellow registration form and return it to the Dublin Chamber of Commerce office by mail, email or fax as soon as possible.
