March 2017 Dear Parent/Guardian RE: Modern Foreign Languages Challenge Event – Tuesday, 7th March I am delighted to be able to inform you that your son/daughter has been awarded a place representing the school at the above event, which takes place at Chapeltown Academy in Sheffield on Tuesday, 7th March. I can now confirm the final details of the trip. We will leave school, on the school minibus, at 3:40pm and drive directly to Chapeltown. The event starts at 4.30pm and will last for approximately 2 hours. To celebrate the students’ participation, and hopefully victory! we have booked a table at the Tapas Revolution restaurant at Meadowhall Shopping Centre, at 7.00pm, where the students will be treated to a meal, courtesy of Wales High School. We anticipate arriving back at school at 9.00pm. Your child will need collecting from school at this time. As previously mentioned, should this present any difficulties, please let me know as soon as possible. Students will be expected to wear full school uniform whilst at the Challenge event, however, they may take a change of clothes for after the event. (Please note the only changing facilities available at Chapeltown Academy will be the toilets.) Mrs O’Leary, KS4 coordinator in Modern Foreign Languages, will be accompanying the students and I to Chapeltown Academy and we will be joined by other department colleagues at the restaurant. I would be very grateful if you could please return the reply slip attached directly to me at school no later than Friday, 3rd March.
