PDC’s New Stand Design:Leading the Way Into the 21st CenturyWe are proud to introduce the next generation ofreactor stands and the latest in a series of industry-changing solutions offered by PDC. This stand makes use of an extruded aluminum structural framework and mechanical components, which allows us to easilyprovide our customers, at a very reasonable cost, a distinctive combination of the following:

Reactor body that lowers on pneumatic cylinders while the cover, with all its instrument and feedconnections, remains fixed, providing convenient access to the vessel interior.

After being lowered, the reactor body pivots 180 degrees and/or tilts on its center of gravity for pouring or dumping or to simplify cleaning.

Reactor bodies of various sizes are easilyinterchangeable on the same stand.

Support stands are made of standard structuralextrusions, so auxiliary equipment can be attachedwithout drilling, which simplifies future expansion or modification.

DiaphragmCompressorsBenefits of PDC Machines’Diaphragm CompressorsPDC Machines’ diaphragm compressors are the top choice when contamination-free, leak-tight gascompression is required. Our diaphragm compressors aredesigned to afford high quality, high reliability, lowmaintenance and extended service intervals. Some of thebenefits of PDC Machines’ diaphragm compressors include:

High Product Purity Triple diaphragms isolate hydraulic oil from process gas.The quality of gas entering and exiting the compressorare the same.

PDC Machines uses static seals and there is nomigration of process gas to the crankcase. Thecrankcase does not require purging or venting.

High Reliability and Uptime with LowMaintenance and Worry-free OperationDue to superior diaphragm life, some customersexperience 10,000 to 40,000 hours of continuousoperation.

Our unique oil distribution system is designed toprevent knocks, vibration, and cavitation; and yieldsmooth, quiet compressor operation.

High Efficiency, Lower Energy Use and Lower Capital Costs

Duplex and two-stage diaphragm compressors arehorizontally opposed designs for optimal powerconsumption.

Duplex and two-stage designs are available toaccommodate a wide range of pressures and flows inone or two stages instead of multiple stages.

Duplex and two-stage designs handle high inletpressures without the need for regulators, saving energy and optimizing costs.

Quiet Operation

Noise levels below 85dBA at one meter and eliminatethe need to provide sound proofing enclosures.

Shortest Delivery in the Industry

Critical components are manufactured at PDCMachines, assuring the highest levels of quality control. In house manufacturing allows us the flexibility toaccommodate tight delivery schedules.

Popular models can be delivered in as few as 2 to 6 weeks.

Puma Magnetic DrivesPDC Machines’ PUMA line of magnetic drives isdesigned to suit most mixing requirements. Our agitatorshave been used in batch and continuously stirred vessels(CSTR’s) operation in laboratories, pilot-plant and smallscale production applications for many years.

Our magnetic mixer technology assures leak-free,contamination-free and emissions-free mixing at highpressures and temperatures. It also protects the healthof your personnel and the environment and ensuresthe integrity of your product. PUMA magnetic drives are an ideal choice when working with toxic, hazardous, highly corrosive or high-purity materials.

Belt Drive vs. Direct DrivePUMA’s quick, easy maintenance means lower costs

and less down time.Within minutes, the PDC PUMA belt driven magnetic drive can be very easily serviced, which includes disassembly, tube and shaft cleaning, replacement of three bearings, and reassembly. Bycontrast it is cumbersome and time consuming to perform the same maintenance functions on a direct drive.

Compatibility to Meet Your Processing NeedsPDC PUMA Drives can be manufactured from mostmachinable alloys to ensure compatibility with theintended process media. These include:

A Wide Spectrum of Mixing SolutionsPUMA Drives offer an extensive selection of custom-designed impellers to meet yourmixing needs.

 Propeller

 Turbine

 Anchor

 Helical Ribbon

 Specially DesignedImpellers and Accessories

Exceptional Value Based on our extensive experience in magnetic drivetechnology, PDC provides technically optimal, high-quality and cost-effective agitation systems. This results in low maintenance, high reliability anddependable operation for many years. The benefits of our inherent design advantages include:

 Through Bore PUMA Drive:

• Utilization of three identical supportbearings, eliminating the need formultiple spare parts

• Excellent alignment forextended bearing life and reduced maintenance costs

• Ease in cleaning, assembly and maintenance

Air-cooled drive tube design provides for cooling the heat generated by the eddy currents of the unit. This feature retains the dynamic torque rating of thedrive throughout its operation

PUMA Drives eliminate the need for drive lubrication, due to the lack of rotary and mechanical seals

High-speed vibration-free operation up to 5000 RPM (only on designated units)

Proprietary speed sensor technologymeasures the speed of the driveinternals. This ensures accuratemeasurement of drive movement in the event of a magnetic coupling failure

Drive systems are available with AC,DC, or air-driven motors, with eitherfixed or variable speeds

Syringe PumpsMetering Syringe Pumps for PositiveDisplacement Pump Injection ApplicationsAs a long respected syringe pump manufacturer, PDC Machines designs rugged metering syringe pumps for an extremely accurate injection of fluidsirrespective of viscosity into a system at a consistent flow and constant output pressure. For these positivedisplacement pumps, we design both single and doublebarrel syringe pump setups for batch and continuous flow operations. In a continuous flow operation, onebarrel is discharging fluid, while the other retracts, pressurizes to set pressure and gets ready for transfer.

High Pressure Syringe Pumps Standard Features

Standard features include:

Flow Rates: Programmable syringe pumps have flow rate range from (0.004 mL/min to 4 mL/min) to (0.4 mL/min to 400 mL/min)

Flow Characteristics: Pulse-less, linear output flow

Accuracy and repeatability of flow +/-0.05% of set point

High Discharge Pressures: Up to 60,000 psi (4,100 bar)

 Pump Barrel Temperature: Up to 450 °F (232 °C)

Large Barrel Capacities: 125 cc to 1500 cc

Simplex (single) Barrel Design: Batch operation

Duplex (two) Barrel Design: Continuous operation

ControlsPLC based and relay logic user-friendly programmablesyringe pump controls make it easy for the operator toset system parameters such as pressure and flow rates.Customer has option of local control/ display panelmounted on skid or remotely linked to DCS interfaceinputs or PC based HMI.

For simplex designs, control/display panel is suppliedloose for customer local or remote mounting.
