Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Worklight. Before attempting to use this product, please read this manual thoroughly and follow the instructions carefully. In doing so you will ensure the safety of yourself and that of others around you, and you can look forward to your purchase giving you long and satisfactory service.

This product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt which will be required as proof of purchase.

This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or tampered with in any way, or not used for its intended purpose.

Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can be returned to us without prior permission.

This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Please read and understand the following instructions before use.

1. Do not shine the worklight into the eyes.

2. Ensure the worklight is fully charged before initial use.

3. Do not use the worklight during recharging.

4. Do not use the worklight if you suspect that the battery or the casing is damaged.

5. Inspect the charger plug, cable and connector for damage to ensure items are safe before connecting to the mains power supply. If damaged do not use.

6. Check that the input voltage marked on the charger plug is the same as the mains power supply to be used.

7. Do not disassemble the worklight for any reason.

8. Do not leave the battery in a discharged state, recharge the battery after use.

9. Do not pull the charger from the mains socket by the lead.

10. Do not get the charger wet, or use in wet, damp conditions (the charger is for indoor use only).

11. Never use any charger other than the one supplied with this product when connecting to the power supply.

BATTERY CHARGING

1. Connect the AC charging adaptor to the charging jack on the worklight.

2. Connect the other end of the charger to the 230V mains power supply and charge until fully charged.

• The LED will illuminate in red when the lamp is charging.

• The LED will illuminate in green when charging is complete.

• The worklight should not be operated while using the charger.

3. The battery must be re-charged at least every 3 months. Failure to re-charge the battery will lead to reduced performance of the worklight and to premature battery failure.

NOTE: the batteries cannot be replaced.

4. If you plan to store the worklight (e.g. for emergencies), we recommend that the battery is fully charged before doing so, this will ensure the longest possible battery life.

5. Never abuse the charger cable or yank the cable to disconnect it. Keep the cable away from sharp edges/hot surfaces.

OPERATION

1. Press the red button once to switch on one side of the worklight.

2. Press the red button a second time to switch on the other side.

3. Press the red button a third time to switch on both sides of the worklight together.

4. Press the red button again to switch the worklight off.

5. Press and hold the red button at any time to make both sides of the light flash. Press and hold again to stop the flashing.

6. Press the black button at any time to temporally switch the active lamp off.

7. Never shine the light directly into the eyes.

• Up to 4 hours of light can be obtained before the batteries are drained.

NOTE: when the battery is almost depleted, the LED will illuminate in red for approximately 30 minutes before the worklight turns off.

8. Attach the worklight to a suitable support using either the folding or extending hook or attach to a ferrous metal surface using the magnetic retainer.

• To keep your worklight clean, wipe with a damp cloth only, DO NOT use detergents, chemicals or harmful abrasives. Never immerse in water.
