Rector’s foreword

I am happy to warmly welcome all the inter-national students to the University of Genoa, or UniGe in short – how we like to call it. Our hospitality has a longstanding tradition and it is a distinguishing part of our institution.

The percentage of international students at UniGe is one of the highest among Italian Universities, and it amounts to 10% of all of our students. Our engagement and commit-ment to fruitful international relationships lead to multiple opportunities for studying and specializing abroad, both in Europe and worldwide.

Likewise, our commitment in broadening our Faculty with multicultural and inter-national members is very strong, which reflects the special features of the city of Genoa and of Liguria. Therefore I look for-ward to meeting many new international students on our campuses, as I am convinced and deeply believe that our University can provide them with an ideal environment for their study program, as well as for strength-ening their cosmopolite attitude.

I am confident that UniGe will be central to their personal development, supported by excellent, cutting-edge, and high-impact in-ternational degrees.
