CURBSIDE COLLECTIONRECYCLINGCurbside recycling is a free service to all City of Salisbury residents who utilize the City’s once a week, curbside trash collection. City curbside recycling is collected on the same day as curbside trash collection. A City of Salisbury, blue recycling bin is required. To have a free, blue bin delivered, call the City of Salisbury Recycling Support at 410-548-3177. If more than one bin is used, it is strongly recommended that recyclables be separated as much as possible to ensures pick up in a timely and orderly fashion. The container is to be put next to your large trash bin on the same day as your normal trash collection.

Why should you recycle? When waste is recycled it preserves natural resources, reduces pollution, saves energy and saves space in landfills. Help preserve the Earth for the children of today and of the future. After all, we do not inherit the Earth from our parents; we borrow it from our children!

If you missed getting your trash or recycling can out, would like to volunteer to help Salisbury recycle more, or are elderly or handicapped and need assistance with your trash or recycling, call Recycling Support at 410-548-3177.

PICKUP PROCEDURESPlace recycling bins and trash receptacles on the curb, before 6am, on your designated pick-up day, to ensure timely and orderly pick up. For public safety, recycling bins and trash receptacles must be removed by 11pm, the same day. Please rinse blue bins and other recycling containers weekly. If for some reason your recyclables are not picked-up from your curb, there is a possibility that a non-recyclable somehow ended up in your bin. If this is the case, please reevaluate the curbside materials accepted or call Recycling Support at 410-548-3177.
