Last weekend, Outdoor Adventure Club headed up to Waterfall Glen where the group enjoyed an incredible fall day hiking. We also want to give a shout out to member John Peland. John competed at the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships this month in Canada: He finished in 13th place for his age group and had a shot to be first place if not for a couple really tough events! Truly an awesome job and very impressive! If you are interested in mountain biking, hiking, skiing, or participating in an Abominable Snow Race this January come to our meeting November 3rd in room 149. New members always welcome! Go Red Devils!

Business Professionals of America conducted its 2nd Annual Food Drive this year. We collected over 1400 pounds of food, diapers, wipes, and hygiene products that were donated to Hinsdale Family Services. This was over 10 pounds per member! Thank you to all members and families for your generous donations.

FCCLA baked and decorated devil and monster eye cupcakes and rice krispie pumpkins to sell at our Halloween bake sale. All proceeds raised will help fund our cooking and serving event for PADS in November.

To celebrate Health and Wellness during the month of October, the Family & Consumer Sciences department’s Creative Cooking 1 courses made recipes using a variety of different colored fruits and vegetables. Students presented research on the nutrients and phytochemicals in each color to go along with their lab recipes.
