Impact of Going CoastalBy actually getting our “hands dirty” and seeing first-

hand the array of garbage in the marsh, we realized the difference just a few hours of clean-up with just a small group can actually do for the environment. 40+ bags of trash accumulated in just under two hours.Soda cans, fireworks, wrappers, oyster netting, a flip

flop, just to name a few.Some good came out of it: A baby terrapin turtle caught

in the netting was released! ‘Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find

reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts”- Rachel Carson
