Registration First-Year Examinations Summer Term 2021

Information:

• Examination registrations via QIS are currently only available for fulltime students who enrolled in the MSQ or Ph.D. program for the first time in the winter term 2020/21.

• The displayed examination dates are scheduled on a preliminary basis. Short-term changes are possible. All registered students will be duely informed about potential further measures and changes via email to their student email address.

• Most first-year examinations are offered by two professors. Due to technical reasons only the name of one examiner is diplayed during the registration view. Nevertheless, the registration is valid for the entire examination (midterm and final examinations or 120 minutes final examination) offered by both examiners.

• During the first year, students enrolled in the MSQ and in the Ph.D. program register for the same examinations for both programs. One registration per examination – either in the MSQ or in the Ph.D. – suffices to register in both programs. The same applies to deregistrations.

• The platform’s English translation currently lacks some points (e.g. the preliminary examinations dates), which is why we suggest using the German version.

Required details:

• QIS user name and password • iTan list for the QIS/LSF portal • Your choice of examinations for the summer term 2021. There will be a separate registration process for the qualifying examinations, i.e. this is not

required at this point, yet.

A. Registrations

1. Please log in to QIS https://qis.server.uni-frankfurt.de/qisserver/rds?state=user&type=0.

1. Select in the tab „Meine Funktionen“ (my functions) „Prüfungsverwaltung“ (exam administration).

2. Select „Prüfungsan- und -abmeldung“ (Examination registration and deregistration).

3. Check „Ich akzeptiere“ (I accept) and press the „Weiter“ (next) button.

Information here: Exam registrations and withdrawals via self service are only valid in conjunction with the exam report “Info on registered exams” and its signature file. (See B. Proof of Registrations) If you have any problems or find discrepancies with your transaction please contact the exam office immediately and within the registration period.

4. Enter the requested iTAN and press „Weiter“ (next).

5. Select your program (either the MSQ or the Ph.D. suffices)

6. Select a module you would like to register for the examination in summer term 2021 (click through until you are at the below view) and select „Prüfung anmelden“ (register examination).

7. You are asked again, if you would like to register. Select „Ja“ (yes).

9. Select „weitere Pruefungen anmelden“ (Register further examinations) and repeat for registering the remaining registrations.

B. Proof of Registrations

1. Once you registered all examinations, select „Startseite“ (start page) to return to the start page. 2. Select in the tab „Meine Funktionen“ (my functions) „Prüfungsverwaltung“ (exam administration). 3. Select „Prüfungsbescheinigungen“ (exam confirmations).

4. Select „Info über angemeldete Prüfungen“ (information on registered examinations)

5. Select your Program (again, selecting either the MSQ or the Ph.D. suffices)

6. Download and save both files as proof of your registration: a) Bericht herunterladen/öffnen b) Signatur herunterladen

C. Withdrawal of Registrations

1. Repeat steps A 1-7 and select the registration you would like to deregister. Select „Prüfungsanmeldung stornieren“ (withdraw registration).

2. You are asked if you would like to withdraw your registration from the examination. Please select „Ja“ (Yes).

3. Once you completed all registrations and deregistrations, select „Startseite“ (start page) to return to the start page and continue as described in B. Proof of Registrations to document your current registration status.
