Before you begin, you will need to chargethe RejuvaWand. Plug the charging baseinto an outlet and place the wand into thebase, as shown. The RejuvaWand mustcharge for 8-12 hours before the first use.

INTRODUCTIONThe RejuvaWand is a safe, pain-free, and easy-to-use product thatuses light technology to stimulate your skin’s own rejuvenatingprocess. Used regularly, the RejuvaWand system provides the basisfor unlocking the natural restorative powers of your body withoutinvasive and painful surgery, chemical peels, high-powered laser treatments, Collagen or Botox injections. The RejuvaWand system is a treatment that you can apply yourself in the comfort and privacyof your own home.

By combining the rejuvenating effects of Red and Infrared light with a gentle massaging action, the RejuvaWand diminishes the

appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improves skin tone,resulting in radiant and youthful looking skin.

BEFORE YOU BEGINBefore use, you must make sure that the RejuvaWand is fullycharged. The wand must charge in its base for approximately 8-12 hours before it is ready to use. (You should follow the recharging instructions in this manual before attempting to use the RejuvaWand system for the first time.)

When the RejuvaWand is charging, the ON/OFF button blinks.When the wand is in its base and fully charged, the ON/OFF button will have a continuous glow; this can take up to 24 hours.Now you are ready to begin.

Now you will learn how to turn on the RejuvaWand and select the color of light (wavelength) you will be using. We recommend alternating

between red and infrared light each timeyou use the wand (this is described furtheron the following pages).

To activate the wand and select the wavelength:

Press the ON/OFF button once to activatethe wand. The button will emit a red

glow indicating that the red wavelength has been selected for use.

Press the ON/OFF button again: The button will glow yellow to indicate that the infrared wavelength has been selected for use. Infrared light is invisible and yellow has been chosen arbitrarily to indicate this wavelength.

Once you have selected the wavelength, you will not see any light coming out of the end of the wand nor will you notice any vibration.This is because the RejuvaWand has been designed with a unique skinsensing system that will only allow the wand to emit the treatmentbeam and vibrate when it is in contact with or in close proximity to the skin. Place the treatment area against the back of your hand to

see how the proximity sensor works and to experience the vibration and light emission.

To turn off, press the ON/OFF button again until it is no longer illuminated red or yellow.

• Press ON/OFF button once = On/Red • Press button again = On/Infrared • Press button again = Off

Once you have selected the treatment wavelength, release the button.Do not hold the button down and do not press again, unless you wishto terminate the treatment or select the other wavelength.

GETTING STARTED1. Use daily: For best results, the RejuvaWand system should be usedevery day, alternating wavelengths as described on the pages that follow, as a part of your regular skin care routine. If possible apply atthe same time each day, always trying to leave approximately 24 hoursbetween applications.

2. Start with a clean face: Remove all makeup. We recommend usingRejuva™ Cleanse, a product specially formulated to remove makeupwhile deeply cleansing your skin so that it is in optimal condition forreceiving the RejuvaWand antiaging treatment.

How to operate the rejuvawand light-based skincare system

3. Apply Rejuva™ Gel enhancing gel: Once your skin is free of all makeup, apply a layer of the Rejuva Gel to the area you are going totreat. Use an amount equal to about the size of a dime when placed

in the palm of your hand for each area to be treated. The gel is designed to enhancelight transmission to the skin as well as promote smooth and easy movement. Thegel is water soluble so it easily rinses off.

DAY ONE: RED LIGHT TREATMENTOn day one of your treatment program you will select the Red wavelength for allareas you wish to treat. The Red wavelengthis indicated by the glowing red ON/OFF wavelength selection button. (see Figure 2)

Remove the wand from its charging base.Making sure that you have a thin layer of gel on the treatment site, press the button onthe wand once. It will now be glowing red. Place the treatment window (see Figure 3)

on the area to be treated. When you place the wand on or near your skin, you will beginto feel a gentle vibration. This indicates thatthe beam is on and working.

Adjacent to the treatment window are twotreatment area guides (see Figure 3). Theseguides illuminate when the wand is in contactwith your skin to help you accurately positionit on the area you wish to treat. You may also

see red light glowing around the end of the wand, which is normal andis an indication that the treatment is in progress. Gently move the wandover the surface of the skin you wish to treat (slight pressure is OK).

To achieve best results, position the wand sothe window is in complete contact with theskin according to Figure 4.

The RejuvaWand pulses at one minute intervals to indicate treatment progress; the light and vibration will turn off automaticallyIndicating the end of the pre-programmed 4 minute treatment. The vibration will stop and the button will stop glowing. At this time you can repeat the treatment procedure in other areas you wish to rejuvenate. Make sure that all areas to be treated are clean,makeup free and covered with gel. Treatments may continue until all areas are treated or the wand needs recharging. Rinse the treated areas with water to remove the enhancing gel which youapplied before the treatment began.

DAY TWO: INFRARED LIGHTTREATMENTOn day two of your treatment programyou will select the Infrared wavelength for all areas you wish to rejuvenate. Theinfrared wavelength is indicated by theglowing yellow ON/OFF selection button.

Making sure that you have a layer of gel on the treatment site press the button on the The RejuvaWand twice –it should now be glowing yellow (see Figure 5).

Place the treatment window (see Figure 3)on the area to be treated. When it is in contact with your skin or just beforeyou will feel and hear the vibration. Although infrared light is invisible, you will see a blinking red light emitted from the wand.

This is normal and is an indication that the treatment is in progress. Use the guides to direct the beam to the areas you wish to rejuvenate.

You should not treat on your eye or in a manner that would allow you to shine the light directly into your eye.* When the pre-programmed treatment is complete (after 4 minutes), theRejuvaWand will turn off automatically. The vibration will stop and the button will stop glowing.

At this time you can repeat the treatment procedure in other areas you wish to rejuvenate.

Rinse all treated areas with water to remove the enhancing gelwhich you applied before the treatment began.

DAY THREE AND BEYOND: ALTERNATING FROM RED TO INFRAREDOn day three you will use the red wavelength and on day four infrared.You will continue to alternate wavelengths in this manner going forward. You should follow this system for all areas to be treated.

Remember, for best results, you should use the RejuvaWand atapproximately the same time each day. Try to allow 24 hoursbetween treatments to optimize the skin’s rejuvenation cycle.

* The RejuvaWand is a Class 1 laser product, defined as, “Lasers that are safe under reasonably foreseeable conditions of operation.” Nevertheless, direct viewing of the visible or invisible light should be avoided. Do not look directly into the light source when it is turned on and the motor is vibrating, even if you do not see light coming out. Do not use the RejuvaWand in a manner other than instructed.

CLEANINGEach day, after you have completed your treatments, you shouldwipe the end of the RejuvaWand with a damp cloth or tissue toremove any residual enhancing gel and to make sure there is no dirt or debris stuck to the wand. Make sure the wand is turned off (there should be no illumination of the ON/OFF/wavelength selection button). Do not submerge the RejuvaWand in water or use an abrasive cleanser or scrubbing material, as these can scratch thewand’s surface and interfere with light transmission.

After cleaning the RejuvaWand, place it in its charging base.

RECHARGINGWhen not in use it is recommended thatyou keep the RejuvaWand in its rechargingbase, which should be plugged into astandard wall outlet.

You can turn if off or it will turn off automatically when placed in the base.

A fully recharged RejuvaWand is capable

of providing several treatments and storing the RejuvaWand in therecharging base will ensure the device is ready when you are.

When placed in the base, the yellow treatment light will pulse slowly to indicate the device is charging. Once charging is complete,the pulsing will stop and the light will remain on.

If the battery charge should reach its lower operating limit during a treatment, RejuvaWand will provide indications that charging isrequired as well as when it is ready for use again.

When the battery reaches its lower output limit during a treatment,the massaging motor pulses on/off rapidly, 5 times and the red andyellow treatment indicator lights will flash sequentially until placed in the charging base.

Once in the charging base, the yellow treatment indicator light willflash rapidly for approximately 2 hours, the minimum time required to charge for at least two complete treatments. After 2 hours, the flashing yellow light will switch to the slow, pulsing yellow light as in the normal charging process.

Note that removing the wand within the first two hours will restart the two hour charging timer.

Cleaning and recharging the rejuvawand system

In addition to using theRejuvaWand antiaging system on a daily basis you should always use a sunscreen of SPF 20or better. You should also use a comprehensive three step skincare regimen, like The RejuvaRevitalizing Skincare program,that encompasses a cleanser, atoner, and a moisturizer. Dailyuse helps your skin fight off theeffects of aging.

The Rejuva Revitalizing Skincare program includes a mild, nourishingcleanser. Rejuva Cleanse uses beneficial aloe and antioxidants andmay be used twice a day on dry, oily or normal skin. It is a gentlehydrating product which may also be used to remove makeup.

Rejuva Tone is a refreshing, alcohol-free product that can be usedtwice daily, after cleansing, on all skin types. Its aloe and botanical-enriched formula helps to purify, condition and rehydrate skin whilegently removing dirt from deep down in your pores.

Frequently Asked Questions rejuvawandDoes it hurt? Will it burn or cut my skin?No. The RejuvaWand skincare system is non-invasive, which means it does not cut, burn or damage your skin. Treatments are extremelycomfortable and safe.

What is the difference between The RejuvaWand system and a laser or Intense Pulsed Light treatment at my doctor's office?The RejuvaWand system uses low level light energy to stimulateyour body’s own natural rejuvenation process, which improves your skin’s condition in a non-irritating, non-invasive way. There isno redness, swelling or downtime from the treatment. Lasers andintense pulsed light systems achieve their effects by causing damage to the skin which in turn stimulates a healing process.

Is The RejuvaWand dangerous to use around my eyes?No. The RejuvaWand system is designed to be inherently eye safe.In addition, its treatment light is only emitted when it is in contactwith or close proximity to the skin. Even if you should accidentallylook directly into the light being emitted during the treatment, your eyes will not be harmed. Always follow directions and readwarning labels.

Are there any side effects from using the RejuvaWand skincare system?In more than 30 years of ongoing clinical tests, trials and studies,there have been no reported short or long term side effects from similar light treatments.

How often do I need to use the RejuvaWand system?For best results, we recommend using it once a day, in the morningor at nighttime, for the preprogrammed treatment time on each area to be treated and alternating wavelengths each day.

How long will I need to use the RejuvaWand before I see results?Results depend on many variables, including age, amount of photo-damage from sun exposure, adherence to instructions, use of a goodthree step skin care program, and so on. Results will generally be visible in 30 days or less. The changes are gradual and as such may be difficult to notice as they are occurring. It is advisable to take good photos of yourself before you start using the RejuvaWand andcompare them to photos taken after 30 days and later.

What if I can’t use my RejuvaWand everyday because I am traveling or for some other reason?You should use it as directed but if you can’t the only effect is a delay in seeing the results or a slight loss of results if the RejuvaWand

is not used for an extended period of time. You can always rejuvenate your skin by restarting use after a period of non-use.

What if I don’t remember and use the same wavelength two or more days in a row?Don’t worry, you will not cause any unwanted effects or damage. You just need to start alternating wave-lengths as soon as possible to get the best results.

Sometimes the RejuvaWand stops and starts while I am using it?You are probably changing the position of the wand on your face and letting the part of the wand with the proximity sensor get too far from the face which causes it to stop emitting light and vibration.

During red light treatments the light is extremely bright, even with my eyes closed, is this dangerous?No, the RejuvaWand has been designed to meet and exceed all FDA and international eye safety standards. The RejuvaWand is a powerful light device and this is why it is so effective. Red light is very effectively transmitted through the skin and as such you can sense the brightness through a closed eyelid.
