Markets started the expiry week on feeble note and lost over half a percent. It opened with an uptick but could not sustain for long as selling pressure reemerged. Similar trend was witnessed on the broader front too and the market breadth settled on the negative side.

Its anxiety ahead of the GST implementation which induced participants to book profit. Also, market has nothing to cheer about from the PMs US meet so far. Amid all, Nifty breached decisive support around 9550 and now likely to decline further. We suggest keeping hedged positions and prefer index majors for short term trading. Next major support is at 9400 in Nifty.

The US Food and Drug Administration completed inspection of Aurobindo Pharmas unit 7 based in Hyderabad. It issued zero observations to this formulation manufacturing facility located in SEZ.

The banking stocks fell sharply after news that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has directed banks to keep higher provisions (at least 50% of the loan amount) for accounts referred to bankruptcy courts. This move could hurt banks earnings substantially with government-owned banks likely to be worst affected as they hold the chunk of defaulted loans in India. Stocks like PNB, BOB, Corporation Bank, Canara Bank, Andhra Bank and SBI fell by 3-5%.

Pioneer Distilleries ended higher by 5% after the company received eligibility certificate entitling it to a subsidy of Rs 119cr under mega subsidy phase II project from the Government of Maharashtra under Package Scheme of Incentives, 2007.

    Investment Pick - Manpasand Beverages

Manpasand Beverages reported steady set of numbers for Q4FY17. Net sales increased by 28.6%, while Net profit was up by 22.4% on YoY basis. With doubling

of capacity in the next 12-18 months, entry in new markets and launch of new brands, we expect the company to post healthy growth in the coming years.

The company has tied up with Parle Agro to cross promote their brands. This will give it access to 4.5 mn outlets pan-India, which will further enhance

Manpasand's reach geographically. We reiterate our Buy recommendation on the stock with a target of Rs. 891.

GSFC added around 8% of open interest as short

positions. On charts, it has fresh witnessed

breakdown from Head & Shoulder pattern on daily

charts with noticeable rise in volumes. Current chart

pattern and derivatives data suggest further decline

in coming sessions. Hence, we suggest shorting

GSFC July futures as per levels given below.

Strategy: SELL GSFC JULY FUTS BETWEEN 118-119,

    Derivative Ideas

Havells India Limited (HAVELLS) IDFC Limited (IDFC)

HAVELLS has rebounded today i.e. on May 27 after

retesting the support area around 455 and looks

upbeat to continue this recovery ahead also.

Traders can use any intraday dip to go long in the

    given range.

IDFC has breached the support zone of multiple

moving averages, after breakdown from a

distribution pattern. All indications are in the

favour of further decline in near term. Use any

bounce to create fresh shorts in the mentioned

    range.
