    Question1. What are the various levels of conflicts that influence the performance of the Titans?

    Answer. The levels of conflicts that influence the performance of the Titans are:

    1. Functional Process conflict: How the work will be done was an issue, both the coaches have

    different type of working style because of that they were having conflict.2. Dysfunctional

    Relationship conflict: The black and white did not wanted to play/work with eachother because of their own perceptions and ego, including the coaches of the schoolalong with the students.

    Intergroup conflict was between the whites and blacks and interpersonal conflict between the coaches (Boone and Yoast)

    Question 2. According to Wageman and Donnenfields conflict intervention model what are theTeam interventions used by Coach to reduce Team Conflict.

    Answer. According to Wageman and Donnenfields confl ict intervention model, following arethe Team interventions used by Coach to reduce Team Conflict:

    Team redesign : The coach Boone told the team players to sit in the bus in a way that all theoffense players sit in one bus and defense players sit in another one. By doing this, all the blacksand whites were mixed. He had redesigned the team in a manner that white and blacks becameinterdependent on each other.

    Boone believed that cooperative working of the team is very crucial to win. He also believed thatit was important for the members of a team to know and understand each other. He had a clear

    vision, he wanted to have a strong team and win. For a successful team he had to ensure that allthe team members work together, cooperate and respect each other. To achieve this, it wasimportant for the team to work hard and be committed.

    Task process coaching : The Coach had adopted the strategies for communication between blackand white players. He made an activity by which every white player will spend time with every

    black player for knowing each other and vice versa, the player will report to the coach aboutwhat they got to know about the other team players while interacting with them. It also helpedthe team members to help other members improvising their skillset.

    Conflict process coaching : To remove distrust and misunderstandings among the team players,the coach had organized the trust building exercise. This made the whites and blacks understandthat they have to work together if they want to win. As the players had love towards the gameand they all wanted to be in the team& win, they compromised and worked together.
