All stakeholders are taking action to meet each student where they are and to give them the tools to reach their goals. Our primary focus is attendance. We have hired an Attendance and Behavior Specialist to assist in removing barriers that are impacting students and families. As student attendance increases, so will graduation rates and more importantly, so will student success. Safe & Welcoming Environment Myrtle Point School District takes various actions to make our schools safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all stakeholders. During the 2017 - 2018 school year, the administrative team decided to reevaluate the districts' PBIS effectiveness. School pride is a priority for our school because when students are excited and proud of their school their attendance improves and so does their education. The staff at MPHS are great at building relationships with students and parents. The district adopted Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and trained all staff and students and informed parents in their primary language.
