Universal Academy recognizes the significant and vital impact
parents have in the education and development of their child(ren)
and the overall growth and integrity of our school. Because of each
parent’s distinctive role at Universal Academy, the following
statement of commitment is imperative in reflecting Universal
Academy’s standards of exemplary leadership and conduct. As a
Universal Academy parent, I understand that my responsibilities to
the education of my child and the exemplary standards Universal
Academy upholds, include (but is not limited to) the following

Statement of Parent Commitment Declaración de compromiso de los

In addition to the regular curriculum, principles, and practices of
good citizenship must also be taught and modeled
by school staff. This includes an appreciation for the rights of
others. Universal Academy is committed to helping
every student fulfill his or her intellectual, social, physical,
and emotional potential. To foster an orderly and
distraction-free environment, Universal Academy has established a
Student Code of Conduct (“the Code”) which
outlines prohibited behaviors and consequences for such. Universal
Academy has the responsibility and authority to
enforce the Code, question/counsel students and assign discipline
when appropriate. Any conduct that causes or
creates a reasonable likelihood that it will interfere with the
health, safety, or well-being or the rights of other
students is prohibited. Además del plan de estudios regular, los

Statement of Student Commitment Declaración de compromiso de los

Universal Academy strives to provide your child with the best
possible academic environment and quality school experience.
Therefore, we rely on your parental support and your commitment to
form a partnership with us, to ensure your child’s success.
Therefore, the following clarifications of our uniform policy
listed below should help to better serve you before sending your
child to Universal Academy.
UNIFORMS - All uniforms must comply with the school dress code. NO
EXCEPTIONS. SHOES - All students 3rd – 12th grade must wear Black,
Brown or Navy Loafers, Oxfords, or a conservative lace up shoe
with
no more than a 1 inch heel. K – 2nd grade are allowed to wear all
white tennis shoes. SOCKS/TIGHTS - K -12th grade must wear bobby,
crew, or knee socks in white, black or navy. Opaque Tights may be
worn in
white, black, or navy. No socks are to be worn over or under
stockings with skirts. No fishnet or stockings with designs are to
be worn.
TIES - must be worn daily (except Fridays) by all students 1st
grade and up (Kindergarten optional). UNIFORMS - are to be well
maintained. They must not have holes, snags, or stains. Also
uniforms must be replaced when
they are too short or too tight. BELTS - Brown, Black or Navy belt
must be worn with a simple buckle when wearing Parker pants or
shorts. PE INFO - All students 3rd – 9th are to wear PE uniforms.
Universal Academy PE tops and bottoms can be purchased
through
our school. A student may wear any color sneakers to PE. JEWELRY -
Girls may only wear small earrings (NO LARGE DANGLING EARRINGS),
necklaces, and a single bracelet. Boys are
not allowed to wear earrings. Any additional jewelry must be
approved by the principal on a case by case basis. No other visible
jewelry allowed.
FRIDAYS ONLY - Any UA logo spirit shirt can be worn. (i.e. PE
shirts, denim, PTO, or white polo shirt) When wearing the white
shirt, they do not have to wear a tie.
JEAN DAY - Spirit day shirt with logo or white uniform shirt. Jeans
must be blue, no sagging, no bagging, no designs, and you must be
able to pinch an inch. We recommend the Levi 501-5 pocket jeans or
something similar
FIELD TRIPS - It will be necessary for everyone to purchase a gold
polo shirt, as they will be worn on the field trips. MAKEUP/HAIR –
No makeup is allowed. Hair must be neat & well groomed (No
lines, designs, unnatural hair color or
unconventional styles.) PARENT INTERACTION – Parents are encouraged
to attend monthly parent interactions i.e. conferences and/or
meetings
when scheduled. Please review the school calendar to verify
scheduled monthly meetings (if available). ATTENDANCE – Students
must meet or exceed 97.0% attendance and be on time daily.
ACADEMICALLY – Students are expected to excel. Students are
expected to do assigned and daily homework. BEHAVIOR – Students
will be held to a strict code of conduct. PTO – A voluntary parent
group (fees will be collected at time of registration). ACES – A
voluntary S.T.E.A.M. program students participate in that occurs
during a designated school day. LUNCH ROOM – Due to the lunch room
design and number of students we accommodate, parents are unable to
sit in the Lunch
Room and eat lunch with their student/s. Parents are offered the
opportunity to take the child off campus and return them in
accordance with the student’s scheduled lunch times.
CLASSROOM OBSERVATIONS BY PARENT – Are not allowed. We do not have
a building design that enables us to safely allow adults to visit
classrooms while protecting the confidentiality of the other
students.

School and Dress Code Policies
Universal Academia se esfuerza por brindarle a su hijo el mejor
entorno académico posible y una experiencia escolar de calidad. Por
lo tanto, confiamos en su apoyo de los padres y su compromiso de
formar una sociedad con nosotros, para garantizar el éxito de su
hijo. Por lo tanto, las siguientes aclaraciones de nuestra política
de uniforme que se enumeran a continuación deberían ayudarlo a
servirle mejor antes de enviar a su hijo a Universal Academia.
UNIFORMES: Todos los uniformes deben cumplir con el código de

CORBATAS: Deben ser usados diariamente (excepto los viernes) por

UNIFORMES: Deben mantenerse bien. No deben tener agujeros,
enganches ni manchas. También los uniformes deben ser reemplazados

CINTURONES: El cinturón marrón, negro o azul marino debe usarse con
una simple hebilla cuando se usa pantalones o shorts. INFORMACIÓN
DE E.D.F.: Todos los estudiantes de tercero a noveno deben usar
uniformes de educación física. Las partes
superiores e inferiores de uniforme de E.D.F. de la Academia
Universal se pueden comprar a través de nuestra escuela. Un
estudiante puede usar cualquier color o tipo de tenis para
Educación Física.
JOYERÍA: Las niñas solo pueden usar pendientes pequeños (NO
PENDIENTES GRANDES), collares y una sola pulsera. Los niños no
pueden usar aretes. Cualquier joyería adicional debe ser aprobada

visibles.

VIAJES DE CAMPO: Será necesario que todos compren una camisa de
polo dorada, ya que se usarán en las excursiones. MAQUILLAJE /
CABELLO - No se permite maquillaje. El cabello debe estar arreglado

color de cabello antinatural o estilos no convencionales).
INTERACCIÓN CON LOS PADRES: Se alienta a los padres a asistir a las
