What is a Research Design? The research design refers to the overall strategy that you choose to integrate the different components of the study in a coherent and logical way

it constitutes the blueprint for the collection, measurement, and analysis of data.

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH DESIGN

An experimental research design is said to be experimental only if the area of focus is being randomly assigned to treatment groups or the control (or the comparison) groups.

Cook and Campbell (1979) highlights ten different types of experimental research designs.

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH DESIGN

Is the problem-solving approach that the study is described in the future on what will be when variables are carefully controlled or manipulated.

TWO-PAIR GROUP DESIGN

This design is an elaboration of the two-group design wherein there are two control groups and two experimental groups.

Ideal for studies that imply comparison of different variables
