Residential Outing Trips Weekend Activities Programme August 2013-June 2014 Once again we have a brilliant programme of weekend events which will keep you busy and interested. Each Friday evening we will take you on a short shopping trip to a local shop. Here you can top up your supplies of snacks for the week, pick up some stationery or reading supplies and get to try local foods. All of our weekend activities are designed to support students learning: education, culture, sport and recreation. Trips are usually for a whole day, and usually on a Sunday. Both duty staff and outside professionals will help you to have an enjoyable and productive weekend. Friday and Saturday evenings are for sporting activities or Movie Time we’ll show an English Language programme, which is a great way to develop your English while enjoying an entertaining evening. Bring your popcorn and drinks, and settle down for a great time! All of our activities have been carefully risk assessed, and any means of transport used have been inspected for suitability by school staff. All dates are provisional, and may be changed to accommodate events that we do not yet know about. We suggest that you bring your mobile phone on all outings so that you can contact us, and we can contact you. Please be careful with it the school will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or theft. We recognise that our older students need additional study time, so weekend trips become optional for Years 11, 12 and 13 as your exams or deadlines get near. Residential Outing Trips Weekend Activities Programme August 2013-June 2014

Once again we have a brilliant programme of weekend events which will keep you busy and interested.

Each Friday evening we will take you on a short shopping trip to a local shop. Here you can top up your supplies of snacks for the week, pick up some stationery or reading supplies and get to try local foods.

All of our weekend activities are designed to support students learning: education, culture, sport and recreation.

Trips are usually for a whole day, and usually on a Sunday. Both duty staff and outside professionals will help you to have an enjoyable and productive weekend.

Friday and Saturday evenings are for sporting activities or Movie Time – we’ll show an English Language programme, which is a great way to develop your English while enjoying an entertaining evening. Bring your popcorn and drinks, and settle down for a great time!

All dates are provisional, and may be changed to accommodate events that we do not yet know about.

Where is it? Bromsgrove International school (Windsor Park campus)

How long does it last? This is a whole day at school, from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.

What will I see and do? You will enjoy games and fun activities which will help you to get to know others, build awareness of the team spirit and have fun.

What should I bring? A change of clothes and sportswear, hat, sunscreen, pocket money, mosquito repellant.

Where is it? Siam Niramit Rachada Rd. Business area Bangkok

How long does it last? This is a half day programme, from afternoon till evening.

What will I see and do? You will enjoy traditional games and fun activities. Visit a traditional Thai village, feed elephant, enjoy Thai traditional foods and exotic show.

What should I bring? Phone, pocket money and mosquito repellant.

Term1-Week3 8-Sep-13 Camillian Home – Charity Fair (Senior)

Term1- Week4 15-Sep-13 Kidzania (Junior)

Where is it? About 30 minutes, near to Suvanabhumi Airport

How long does it last? This is a whole day trip– we will return for 4pm

What will I see and do? The Camillian Home is one of the few facilities in Thailand dedicated to caring for abandoned children in a family atmosphere, and it aims to serve as a model in caring for vulnerable children with special needs. This is one of our community service projects. You will get to play games, dance, teach English and arts to disabled children at Camillian Home and we will take them for lunch at McDonald or KFC. It’s time for you to be their hero.

What should I bring? Pocket money, camera and preferably your mobile phone.

Where is it? Kidzania is on 5

How long does it last? This is a whole day trip: we will return for 4 pm

What will I see and do? The World's #1 edutainment brand for kids aged 4-14 years offering youngsters an entertaining learning experience through role playing. What do you want to be in the future? Nurse? Teacher? Flight Attendant? Chef? You can be one of them now at Kidzania.

What should I bring? Pocket money, camera and preferably your mobile phone

Where is it? Mega Bangna is about 45 minutes from school on Bangna-Trad Rd.

How long does it last? This is a half day trip – we will return for 4pm

What will I see and do? It’s time to relax and catch on MovieBox. You may see movies of your choices, shop for snacks and personal stuff, outside lunch such as KFC, McDonald, Pizza, MK.

What should I bring? Pocket money and preferably your mobile phone

Where is it? Geang Hin Peang Prachinburi Prov. About 2 hours outside Bangkok

How long does it last? This is a day trip– we will return for 5pm.

What will I see and do? Rafting or white water rafting is a challenging recreational outdoor activity using an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. This is usually done on white water or different degrees of rough water, in order to thrill and

excite the raft passengers. You will get to swim, float on the river, jump off a tower, rope course and kayaking

What should I bring? Pocket money, sun cream, towel and changing clothes.

Term1-Week7 6-Oct-13 Movie- Mega Bangna (Junior)

Term1-Week8 13-Oct-13 Paint Ball (Senior)

Where is it? Mega Bangna is about 45minutes from school on Bangna-Trad Rd.

How long does it last? This is a half day trip– we will return for 4pm

What will I see and do? It’s time to relax and catch on MovieBox. You may see movies of your choice, shop for snacks and personal stuff, outside lunch such as KFC, McDonald, Pizza, MK.

What should I bring? Pocket money and preferably your mobile phone

Where is it? About 30-45 minutes to Combat Zone, Near to Tab Chang train station.

How long does it last? This is a half day trip returning to school at 4pm

What will I see and do? Excitement with Paintball games - play against your friends and practise survival skills. You will get to plane and become team leader or play as an important role for your team.

What should I bring? All you need is your pocket money, socks ,thick clothes and preferably your mobile phone

Where is it? About 45minutes to Big-C Ladprao

How long does it last? This is a half day trip returning to school at 4pm

What will I see and do? A Sub Zero Ice Skate Club defies the city's relentless heat with a unique ice skating experience. Glide and twirl around or take lessons from the pros. Afterwards you will have some time to shop in the Big-C shopping centre

What should I bring? All you need is your pocket money, socks, gloves and preferably your mobile phone

How far do we travel? Big C Ladprao About 45 minutes on Ramkamheang Rd.

How long does it last? This is a half day trip returning to school at 4pm

What will I see and do? Rock climbing is an activity in which participants climb up, down or across natural rock formations or artificial rock walls. You may set the goal to reach the summit, completing the route in the quickest possible time or the farthest along an increasingly difficult route. Rock climbing is a physically and mentally demanding sport, one that often tests a climber's strength, endurance, agility and balance along with mental control. Let’s get ready to climb!

What should I bring? Pocket money, towel and preferably your mobile phone. .

Where is it? The Mall Bang Kapi is about 30minutes from school on Ramkamheang Rd.

How long does it last? This is a half day trip– we will return for 4pm

What will I see and do? It’s time to relax and catch on MovieBox. You may see movies of your choice, shop for snacks and personal stuff, outside lunch such as KFC, McDonald, Pizza, MK.

What should I bring? Pocket money and preferably your mobile phone

Where is it? About 30 minutes to Siam Water Park on Seri Thai Rd.

How long does it last? This is a day trip returning to school at 4pm

What will I see and do? Siam Park is a huge recreational park featuring various swimming pools, towering waterslides, whirlpools, fountains and a lake. The park's highlight is the 400-metre Super Spiral waterslide, while the giant man-made sea pool with artificial surf is just as spectacular. Further attractions include playgrounds, botanical gardens, an open zoo and an aviary.

What should I bring? All you need is your pocket money, a change of clothes, sun scream and preferably your mobile phone.

What will I see and do? Cha Am is a holiday resort for foreigners and

Thais. Today's visitor to Cha Am will still sense this special atmosphere and old world charm. Besides sun-filled days on the mile-long beach there are leisure activities for the whole family from water sports, swim and horseback riding. The area around the town lets you discover fabulous parks and peaks, caves and waterfalls. What should I bring? Pocket money, a change of clothes, sun cream,

bathing suite, towel and preferably your mobile phone.

How long does it last? This is a whole day trip– we will return for 4pm

What will I do? Thai Human Imagery Museum is the first museum of fibreglass models in Thailand. The exhibition consists of various Thai history sets, for example The Royal Images of Chakri Dynasty Kings, The Enlightenment Monks and King Rama V The Great & Independence of Slaves. All models look authentic in every part of their bodies, skin, eyes, arms even hair.

What should I bring? Hat, sunscreen, pocket money, camera and preferably your mobile phone

Where is it? Kwan-Ream floating market is located on Ramkamheang 187

How long does it last? This is a whole day trip we will return for 4 pm What will I see and do? Kwan-Ream Floating Market is occupied by

vendors who pack their boats with food and drinks, such as fried sea mussels, noodles, coffee, Thai-ice tea, sweets, etc. You can enjoy a cosy atmosphere and music broadcast by the community members, explore the market, have food, and hire a boat to see local life style.

What should I bring? Hat, sunscreen, pocket money, camera and preferably your mobile phone

Taco Water sport have found that, through teaching simple and safe sports such as Windsurfing, Wakeboard, Kneeboard, we are able to reward young people for paying attention to the forces of Nature in a safe and fun environment. Where is it? Located 45 minutes nearby Donmuang Airport

How long does it last? This is a day trip return for 4 p.m.

What will I see and do? Thailand's very own Disneyland! If your family enjoys adrenalin-charged theme parks, make sure you take your kids to Dream World. Divided into imaginative areas like Fantasy Land, Dream Garden and Adventure Land, this fun loaded park is perfect for families. Roller coasters, a haunted mansion, bumper cars and a Viking boat are just some of the surprises waiting in Adventure Land. In Fantasy Land, kids can climb up a beanstalk to the giant's house, look inside Sleeping Beauty's castle, check out Cinderella's pumpkin carriage, or the pond where the frog turns into a prince. You can take the monorail around Adventure Land, or ride the waves at Super Splash, the White Water Rapids at Grand Canyon, or test your driving skills on the Go-Kart track. The absolute highlight for Thai kids though is Snow Land (in the middle of a tropical city) which has an enormous snow field where you can ride a sleigh, make a snowman and find out what an igloo is. There is also a daily parade where the kids get to meet their favourite cartoon characters and a Hollywood Action Show with spectacular effects.

What will I see and do? Jomtien Beach is known for its water sports (jet skis, parasailing, scuba diving), and for several annual sponsored sports events and festivals, attracting visitors from around the world

What will I see and do? Bowling is an indoor sport in which an individual rolls a ball down a wooden floor in an attempt to knock over as many of the ten pins as possible, so you will get to learn, improve your skills and have fun with friends and get free ice cream if you make

the most highest score. What should I bring? Pocket money, socks and preferably your

mobile phone

Where is it? About 1 hour to Hard Rock Cafe

How long does it last? This is a half day trip– we will return for 4pm

What will I see and do? Celebration End of Year Party at Hard Rock Café. Enjoy nice lunch, music and dance. Your chance to party and say good bye to your friends.
