T-3 “A Teacher’s Guide to Cooperative Discipline” by Linda Albert, Pgs. 131-133. “Esteem Builders: A K-8 Self-Esteem Curriculum for Improving Student Acheivement, Behavior and School Climate” by Dr. Michele Bora, Pgs. 163-164.

Specific steps of Lesson Plan (3-5 sentences. Include lesson format, activities, and details to replicate):Go over the rules for walking in the halls. Discuss the rationale for the rules and how when we follow these rules we are showing our CTE expectation: cooperating (by walking on the right side so people don’t run into each other and can get to where they are going without obstacles), treating others with respect (by keeping our hands, feet, and objects to ourselves), and exceeding expectations (by remaining quiet so we don’t disturb the classes and areas we are passing). Conduct some trial runs having students walk in the hall correctly to places they will need to go to (i.e. cafeteria, specials, dismissal, recess). Have support personnel (i.e. administrators (Lipkins & Schreidell), Resource Officer (TBA), support staff—Gudiance Counselor (Casanova), Literacy Coach (Guinta), ESE Specialist (Rapplean), be on the “lookout” for classes walking appropriately in the hallway and compliment them.Lesson Plan Dates & Times (also document in classroom plans AND master calendar – minimum of 4 dates)1.Taught in each Homeroom Class during the first week of school.
