Lowered the creation time of all reports from three months to three weeks. • Redesigned the report generation process in SPSS to automate almost everything. It now only takes four hours to generate every report and send every hospital their reports. Student Assistant at California Department of Child Support Services Oct 2015 - June 2016 • Developed the frontend for an asset management web application using the Spring Java framework. • Makes the addition of any number of new assets to the database while removing human error. Projects and Extracurriculars President of Data Science Club at Sac State 2016 • Designed and led a curriculum that taught members the basics of data science and statistics. • Lead student run hack nights which encouraged collaboration and independent learning through programming projects. • Led a team that got first place at UC Davis' iiData 2016 timed data analysis competition. Co-Developer of Clean Sac 2016 • An app to improve on Sacramento County's county services hotline. • Used R and the data from open datasets to plot the points on a live map of the county. • Used unsupervised learning algorithms to find clusters in the data to detect areas that need extra help. Co-Developer of Couch Coder 2016 • Made a Google Docs add-on that turned a document into a coding friendly environment. • Added syntax highlighting for many languages. • Sends the document to a backend that runs the code. The ouput is returned and displayed for the user. • Won best developer tool at HackDavis 2016.
