Blood brothers Today was a big day for Jack Worthing. Knowing that he was abandoned by is parents, and doesn’t have any blood relatives was difficult for him. Now he has finally found his long lost family. More surprising, he was finally told he has a real brother. Not an invented brother, but a living brother. The tears of joy were flowing when Jack found out his best friend Algy, is actually his brother. Both men embraced each other while they were recalling long lost memories after being separated for more than thirty years.
The Reunion Jack was abandoned in the Victorian train station when he was no older than an infant. Mr.Worthing who adopted Jack as his own son later found him in a worn out, black handbag. The young boy grew up to become a successful man with both wealth and a high social status in the Victorian society. After the reunion with Algy, it became clear that Lady Bracknell is and always have been his aunt. That also makes miss Gwendolyn Fairfax his cousin.
John Worthing Ernest in the city and Jack in the countryside. Adopted and found in a handbag by a very wealthy man. Has a lot of respect and is quite earnest even though he is lying about his real name.
Gwendolyn Fairfax A young beauty, and the only child of Lady Bracknell. She has a strong obsession for the name Ernest, which leads to her abandoning her family and even tattooing the name on her behind.
Algernon Moncrieff He is cheating, stealing names and running away from the ever-‐growing mountain off debts. Algernon or “Algy” is the cousin of Gwendolyn, later revealed to be the older brother of John.
Miss Prism She looks at herself with shame, because she was the woman that lost John Worthing when he was a baby. She is very old and in love with the priest.
