Terms6 x 6 Rule – States that each slide should
have no more than six bulleted items with no more than 6 words on each bullet
Contextual Spelling – Checks the spelling of a word based on how it is used in the document
Demote – Decrease the level of an outline item
Promote – Increase the level of an outline item

bulleted listLayout – Predetermined way of organizing
the objects on a slide including placeholders for title text and other objects
Placeholder – A region of a slide, or a location in an outline, reserved for inserting text or graphics

format of the background and the font style of the titles, accents, and sample text
Thesaurus – Contains a list of words and their synonyms, antonyms, and other related words
Thumbnail – Miniature images so you can see several slides at once (slide sorter view)
Progressive disclosure – the technique of presenting the elements on a slide one at a time.
