The Features You Want1. The Package Dual Fuel Unit.The Package Dual Fuel Unit is a package heat pump with a gas furnace installed in the heat section instead of electric heat that a standard package heat pump features. This hybrid package system allows for both comfort and energy savings by utilizing the electric heat pump for warmth, except in colder periods, which is when the gas furnace would take over to assure maximum comfort and energy savings.

2. The Scroll® Compressor.All of our residential package units – regardless of efficiency level –feature the Scroll Compressor. The scroll compressor uses a moreadvanced technology than traditional reciprocating compressors. Theyhave fewer moving parts, and they are quieter, more efficient, andlonger lasting.

3. Durable Cabinet with Louvered Condenser Compartment.Our cabinets have a powder painted finish that protects them from theharshest weather extremes. And our louvered condenser compartment isthe best in the industry for protecting the condenser coil against yardhazards and weather extremes.

4. Grille/Fan Motor Mount. Our motor mount helps protect the fanmotor from the elements for longer life. Its design dependability helpsreduce vibration and noise.

5. Furnace Compartment. Located inside the easily accessiblefurnace compartment is the control box, draft inducer motor, in-shotgas burners, the gas valve and manifold. Control box operationalcontrols are “up front” for quick access and service diagnostics.The draft inducer motor is specially designed to quietly providecombustion air while simultaneously venting outdoors the combustionproducts from the furnace heat exchanger. In addition to the draftinducer motor, the in-shot gas burners, gas valve and manifoldefficiently regulate the flow of gas for combustion. These new PackageDual Fuel Units also feature direct-spark ignition and remote flamesensors for added dependability and efficiency.

6. Matched Blower/Evaporator Coil Unit. The blower isresponsible for the flow of air into your ductwork. It has been designedto match the evaporator coil and other system components formaximum efficiency and quiet operation. In addition, the coil featuresrifled copper tubing and enhanced fins for improved efficiency.

7. Tubular Heat Exchanger. Our new Package Dual Fuel Unitsfeature a tubular stainless steel heat exchanger design. Tubular heatexchangers are more efficient and durable than older-style clamshellheat exchangers. The factory standard stainless steel heat exchanger isbacked by a limited lifetime warranty in residential applications.

8. Service Fittings. Exterior service fittings enable a serviceman toquickly determine unit operating conditions.
