FDH Draft Philosophy: Value With Every Pick! We at FantasyDrafthelp.com always emphasize the wisdom of our VIP approach to drafting: information and process lead to value. Of course, value is the single most important component of drafting or auctions. Even in the fantasy industry, this point is often overlooked. In most cases, titles are won by patiently accruing value throughout a draft or auction. During the Information stage, fantasy owners compile information about players at individual positions. Process involves comparison of players across all of the positions. We put a tremendous amount of hard work into our draft board, and you do as well. As such, you need to trust the fruits of these labors and adhere to your draft board as much as possible. The surest way to be able to extract maximum value is to prepare extensively ahead of time and then refrain from jumping around on the board on Draft Day. Approach the draft with an actuarial mindset, determined to squeeze maximum value out of every pick, and you will be poised for success.

Draft Board Decoder The FantasyDrafthelp.com draft board contains all the relevant information you need right at your fingertips. For example, in terms of QB, RB, WR and TE: ^ Players are color-coded by their value by round in a 12-team draft. 1st round is gold, 2nd round silver, 3rd round bronze, 4th round orange and 5th round light blue. ^ The “Exp” column displays where each player placed in an “experts consensus board” of top fantasy magazines and “$” signifies auction value. ^ The “Stat” column shows how each player performed on our standard deviation from the mean statistic in 2016 (stat details on Page 4). ^ Players in bold scored better than the statistical mean in all categories measured on our draft board. ^ 2016 yardage and TD totals are listed, along with rankings for each and rankings in the aforementioned “Stat” category. Also, as a new to the WR and TE boards, “Ctch%” measures the completion percentage of targets to each player. ^ “Bye” denotes each player’s bye week.

Evaluating
Production
Across a
Spectrum:
Lessons of
“The Stat” Our “Stat” category
on our draft board
calculates the
standard deviation
from the mean in all
statistical categories.
In simple English,
imagine a spectrum
going across from
left to right, with
negative numbers on
the left side, a “zero”
in the middle and
positive numbers on
the right side. We
utilize this statistic
for baseball,
basketball, hockey
and NASCAR as
well as football. A
player’s perform-
ance in each
category is plotted
on one of these
spectrums, with the
most valuable
players putting up
most of their
numbers on the most
of their numbers on
the positive side.
Then, we add up the
totals of every
category, positive
and negative. By
using this tool, we
can identify not
merely how they
performed, but how
valuable their
performances were
in each category.
Truly, this statistic
serves as the ultimate
baseline for the
previous season’s
production.
The 21st Century Media Alliance

The 21st Century Media Alliance is an umbrella of cooperative companies and professionals that is pursuing many synergistic opportunities and projects. Possessed of varying yet often complementary skill sets, Alliance members are bound by their core principles of inventiveness, communication, pragmatism and dedication to their efforts and those of the larger group. In a great many creative areas, if you’re looking to have a job performed the right way, chances are that you need look no further than The 21st Century Media Alliance.
Rookie Rankings FantasyDrafthelp.com Suggested League Guidelines Many leagues start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1TE, 1 K and some D/ST combination. Some leagues allow the TE position to be WR or TE (in which case, only a few TEs merit any consideration) and some have a “flex” position, which is generally 1 additional RB or WR. With leagues who utilize defense, some deploy a team D/ST unit and some use individual D players. The most common scoring system is a variation of the following: 4 points per passing TD, 1 point per 25 yards passing, 1 point per passing 2-point PAT, 6 points per receiving or rushing TD, 1 point per 10 yards rushing or receiving, 2 points per rushing or receiving 2-point PAT, 2 points per “big play touchdown” (50 or more yards), 1 point per kicking PAT, 3 points per FG, with a 1-point bonus at 45 yards, a 2-point bonus at 50 yards and a 3-point bonus at 55 yards, 6 points per defensive or special teams TD, 1 point per interception, sack or fumble recovered and 2 points per safety. In leagues that award 6 points for passing TDs, QBs are worth much more.

^ Don’t be that guy who is unprepared and whines in the mid to late rounds that everyone worth taking is already gone. They’re not; you’re just unprepared. ^ Don’t be that guy who doesn’t properly understand your league’s scoring system. League setups are like snowflakes; no two are the same. Our draft board is configured to conform to a fairly basic scoring system, but your league could have some quirks that would force you to make adaptations to our board. Be aware. ^ Don’t be that guy who doesn’t pay enough attention and selects players who are already off the board. It’s impolite to your leaguemates and it will invariably break your concentration when everyone howls at you and you’ve got to go back to Square One on a backup pick. To ensure that you are aware of everything that is going on during your draft, utilize a “grid” to track all teams, with the number of rounds going down the left side and the teams listed along the top. ^ Don’t be that guy who approaches the draft like it’s a night of epic decision-making. If you’ve done your homework, it’s not. You merely find out where you’re drafting and you “let the draft come to you.”

Overview
^ At RB, handcuff like you’ve never handcuffed before. We’ve never seen a landscape like this, when the 4th tier at the position goes from #24 all the way down to #50! There are so many depth charts in flux and others ripe to become in flux, so the greatest possible value in the mid-to-late rounds comes from protecting the value of your starters, perhaps with more than one backup.
The 21st Century Media Alliance What initially began in 2009 as a small coalition of like-minded growing New Media and creative organizations has flourished into a well-rounded creative juggernaut of more than two dozen entities that transcends the notion of traditional labeling.

Nothing is Off-topic. Nothing.
^ At #1 WR, #2 WR and #3 WR, there is slightly more depth than at #1 RB, #2 RB and #3 RB. ^ There is more depth at #1 QB and #2 QB than usual, which attests to the explosiveness of Aaron Rodgers since we have him as a first-rounder on the board. ^ At TE, it’s still Rob Gronkowski and everyone else, but he’s too big of an injury risk to go where his talent dictates, which would be the first or second round. Take him only if you don’t have to reach – but if you miss him, hedge yourself with one of the next six on our board before the inevitable TE run sweeps them all away.

On the draft board, the numbers in parentheses are taken from a poll consensus. Take 6
owners and conduct a 7-round standard draft. Points will be assigned at 4 intervals: when
the first College Football Playoff poll is released on October 31, when the poll is released
on November 14, when the final poll is released on December 3 and when the final AP
poll is released after the national title game. The October 31 poll accounts for 20% of the
total score (with the exception of the bonus points, mentioned below), the November 14
poll accounts for 20% of the total score, the December 3 poll accounts for 20% of the
total score and the final AP poll accounts for 40% of the total score.
For the first three polls, scoring is as follows: 1st place (50 points), 2nd
place (45 points),
3rd place (43 points), 4th place (42 points), 5th place (41 points), 6th place (38 points), 7th
place (37 points), 8th place (36 points), 9th place (35 points), 10th place (34 points), 11
th
place (30 points), 12th place (29 points), 13th place (28 points), 14th place (27 points),
15th place (26 points), 16th place (22 points), 17th place (21 points), 18th place (20
points), 19th place (19 points), 20th place (18 points), 21st place (13 points), 22nd place
(12 points), 23rd
place (11 points), 24th place (10 points), 25th place (9 points).
Points are doubled in the final poll, since it accounts for twice the point total of each of
the three previous ones. Additional bonuses are awarded for the following
accomplishments:
25 points for winning the National Championship Game, 15 points for winning the
national semifinals, 10 points for earning a spot in the semifinals, 10 points for a
conference title (or piece of one, for conferences without a championship game), 12
points for winning a “Big 6” non-semifinal bowl game, 6 points for earning a spot in a
“Big 6” non-semifinal bowl, 5 points for winning a non-“Big 6” bowl game and 10 points
for having the Heisman Trophy winner on one of your teams.

Dollar Bin Players 2018 NFL
Draft
Preview The city of Los Angeles now has two pro football teams again and they also have two of the most anticipated QB prospects of the 2018 NFL Draft, USC’s Sam Darnold and UCLA’s Josh Rosen. Darnold is the early favorite to go #1 overall and Wyoming’s Josh Allen is the other signal-caller regarded as being on the same level as the LA twosome. Generally speaking, there are less reservations that scouts have about the top arms in the 2018 draft than the ones in the 2017 crop. Elsewhere on offense, RBs Derrius Guice of LSU, Royce Freeman of Oregon and Saquon Barkley of Penn State loom large, as do WRs Christian Kirk of Texas A&M and Calvin Ridley of Alabama. Of course, difference-makers are present at the top of the draft on defense as well, with Florida S Derwin James, Clemson DT Christian Wilkins, Alabama LB Malik Jefferson, LSU DE/OLB Arden Key, Alabama DE Da’Shawn Hand and Ohio State DEs Tyquan Lewis and Sam Hubbard likely candidates for the Top 10 overall.

NOTE: This draft was conducted on July 17, 2017. ROUND 1: Nobody really went off the board except for Nate. Consecutive QBs at the end of the round was an eyebrow-raiser. ROUND 2: Nate ends up getting his value back here, who along with Mike P drafted top RBs. Jake took McCaffrey about as high as you will probably see him go this year. ROUND 3: Three rounds, three WRs for Jon! And yet Nate, Mike P, Russ and Anthony still don’t have one at this point. ROUND 4: A 2nd QB, with no RB still, for Anthony? Wow. Then Mike P follows suit with a 2nd QB. Jon got an amazing value with Montgomery. ROUND 5: The extreme run on QBs got Rick to reach on Prescott. Jeff got a huge value with Lacy and Russ did with Allen. ROUND 6: Samm’s Steel Curtain flavor becomes extreme at this point. Mike V got the steal of the draft if Gronk is healthy. ROUND 7: Kelce and Perkins were big values for Rick and Dave, respectively. The TEs started to move here. ROUND 8: With Cook, Howard and Davis, this was a substantial round for rookie upside. ROUNDS 9-12: It took until Rounds 10-12 for the Ks and D/STs to start moving.

We’ve come up with yet another permutation on the fantasy football experience at FantasyDrafthelp.com: the Fantasy Over-Under Game. It’s based on the projected win totals released every year by the sports books. For our game, ideally, you have four owners with three standard serpentine rounds. Each owner will take a team to finish either over or under their projected win total. The teams listed on our draft board to the right are considered by us to be the ones most likely to go over or under their projected totals by a decent amount. Here’s the scoring system: ^ Correct by 5 or more games: 25 points ^ Correct by 3-4 games: 16 points ^ Correct by 2 games: 7 points ^ Correct by 1 game: 4 points ^ Right on the win total: 0 points ^ Incorrect by 1 game: -4 points ^ Incorrect by 2 games: -7 points ^ Incorrect by 3-4 games: -16 points ^ Incorrect by 5 or more games: -25 points
