Description:Description: The objective of this project was to design an interna-tional Soccer Stadium for the City of Jacksonville Florida. This 5th year nal project was also submited into the ACSA-AISC 2014 Steel Design Student Competion. The Stadium would be located in the sports complex east of the city’s Downtown’ industrial area. De-signed to FIFA standards, It would have a capacity of 45,000 people. The concept of the design and the use of crane like elements stems from the industrial ports near the site along the St. Johns River. The from the 28th to the 40th oor for best marketable views. The steel structure building would be topped with two atennas reach-ing a height of 800 feet. It would surpas the RSA Battle House Tower making it the tallest building in Mobile and the tallest building in the Gulf Coast outside of Houston. Studio 3.2 / Summer 2011 / Professor Chin and Goodwin
Florida Agricultural And Mechanical University
Description:Description: This project is a mix-use building that in-cludes a ve level parking garage, retail space and ve levels of office space located between Monroe, Tennessee and Calhoune Street. Studies were carried out on the site and surrounding area and research was carried out on the variouse city codes and regu-lations. The set backs were taken into consideration in order to design this building. The Retail was placed on Tennessee Street due to high density traffic and the Garage behind it with an entrance and exit on the second oor on Calhoune and exit on the lower oor on Monroe Street because of the grade of the site. The Commercial offices were place above the garage with the entrance on Monroe Street. The structure was constructed out of precast concrete structure was constructed out of precast concrete and steel to reduce cost and duration of constructon. The facades of the garage and retail space were de-signed out of brick masonry and precast concrete while the commercial space facades were designed out of steel and glass with sun shading devices that reduce heat gain and re ects sunlight deeper into the building to reduce energy use.
