MOONLIGHT PIZZA ANNUAL GET-TOGETHERBy Rick Helmick
Please come out on Monday, Sept 28th, for some great pizza, good salads, and their home brewed beer! Moonlight Mondays support a different localnonprofit, by returning 10% of their entire day's sales back to thatorganization. Hopefully this will become an annual fundraising event for CPC,this being our second year in a row that we have been selected.
With COVID-19, it will be slightly different this year, as they don't encouragemingling, so there will be alternative ways to do so. They limit seating to partiesof 10, but I'm not sure if many of us want to sit with such a large group.
Patricia and I plan to come out for dinner, table for two (preferably on theirlarge outside patio), and visit with our CPC friends seated around us at therestaurant's 6-foot table distancing.
If this doesn't appeal to you, consider ordering take out and say hello when youcome by. They also offer delivery. Or consider purchasing a gift card. Swingby, or order by phone.
Both of these count as sales for the day, which we will earn 10% from. And, we
are also supporting a local business, and their employees.
$$ - RAISE FUNDS FOR CPCWHEN YOU SHOP AT CITY MARKET - $$By Pam Simpson
Do you know that CPC is registered in the City Market Community RewardsProgram?? Do you shop at City Market in Buena Vista?? This Kroger/CityMarket program is an easy way to earn funds for your TU Chapter with noadditional out-of-pocket cost to you. CPC earns funds every time you buy yourgroceries at a City Market.
By registering your City Market loyalty card, the funds raised support kid'sfishing derbies, youth education, college scholarships, conservation work andhelps keep the "lights" on.
In 2019, CPC raised $295 from a very small number of families. Through theend of June 2020, an additional $95 has been raised. Imagine how much moreCPC could raise if more cards were registered! If you have not registered yourloyalty card, please consider doing so.
Go to https://www.citymarket.com/i/community/community-rewards toregister or email [email protected] for moreinfo.
CPC's account number is HM421.
