DEATHS LOCALLYMRS. BECKETT
GERMANTOWN | Cor-anelli “Connie” Faris Beck-ett, age 88, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, in Cincin-nati, at Meadowbrook Care Center.
She was a former resident of Town Square Apart-ments in Blue Ash, Ohio, before moving to Meadow-brook.
Born in Trinity, Dec. 9, 1923, Coranelli was the daughter of John Will Faris and Dixie Simpson Faris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gordon Beckett whom she married April 16, 1947.
She is survived by her two sisters, Garneda Goodwin of Highland Heights, Ma-son County, and Geraldine Heck of Louisville; her “ad-opted” son, Harrison Col-lier, his wife Lucie; “grand-daughters,” Sarah and Katie Collier.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Minnie Mae Carr, Virginia Hayes, and Kathryn Himes Hamm Childrey.
Coranelli attended Tollesboro High School, Morehead State University, and Miami University of Oxford, Ohio. She became a teacher and taught 40 years — 10 years in Dover, and 30 years in the Cincinnati Public Schools. She taught at Doyle, Canaan, and Do-ver Elementary Schools in Kentucky and several schools in the Cincinnati Public School district.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 11 a.m., at Palmer Funeral Home in Germantown.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends donate to the charity of their choice in Coranelli’s honor.

MAY’S LICK | Lillian Rees Bockoski, 95, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of India-napolis, Ind., died March 28, 2012.
She was a retired dieti-cian.
Mrs. Bockoski was the daughter of the late James D. and Mary Inlow Pyles Rees.
Survivors include her son, Stan (Kathleen) Bock-oski of Sarasota; a brother, James Rees of Moorefield, Ind.; two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Bockoski.
Graveside service 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Shannon Cemetery with Rev. Jim Finch officiating.

MRS. CASSINI
FLEMINGSBURG | Glo-ria Calhoun Cassini, 85, of Muses Mill, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at her residence.
She was the widow of Robert Cassini.
She was born July 17, 1926, in Rowan County, to the late William and Vina Whisman Calhoun.
She worked as a nurse at St. Francis/ St. George Hospital in Cincinnati, for several years.
Gloria is survived by four daughters, Nancy (Dean) Swartz of Hamilton, Ohio, Connie Cassini and Laura Cassini of Fleming County, and Sue (Doug) Norman of Cincinnati; and one son, Anthony Cassini of Flem-ing County. She is also sur-vived by five sisters Doris Malblanc of Cincinnati, Lois (Raymond) Carroll, Jean Hamilton and Gerry Burchett, all of Grayson, and Carol (John) Heisler of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren, Angel (Paul) Clayton-Rana, Doug Nor-man Jr., Sara Frisby, Cindy Cassini and Bobby (Katti) Cassini Sr.; and five great-granchildren, Allison, Aidan, Nadia Frisby and Trip Cassini and Dougie Norman.
Services will be 11 a.m.,
Monday April 2, 2012, at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home with visitation from 5-8 p.m., Sunday. Rev. Norman Wasson will be of-ficiating.
Burial will be in the Bur-chett Cemetery in Olive Hill.

MR. COWANEWING — William
Gene Cowan, 83, of Ewing, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, in the Fleming County Hospital.
He was born in Cincin-nati, on Dec. 30, 1928, a son of the late Charles and Christine Peratt Cowan.
Mr. Cowan retired in 1985 after 30 years of ser-vice as county director with the Fleming County ASCS office. Bill was a 1950 graduate of the Uni-versity of Kentucky and a United States Air Force veteran having served for 27 months during the Korean Conflict. He was a long-time member and deacon of the Ewing Baptist Church, former member of the Ew-ing Volunteer Fire Depart-ment, former Fleming-Ma-son Airport Board Member and he enjoyed golf and farming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremy Dye.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jane Story Cowan; one daughter, Cynthia (Robert) Garrison of Doniphan, Mo.; one son, Billy (Tammy) Cowan of Ewing; one grandson, Isaac Carpenter of Louisville; one brother, Gordon Cowan of Mason County; and one nephew, Terry (Molly) Cowan of Mason County.
Services will be conduct-ed at 11 a.m., Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Ewing Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Abrams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery. Pallbearers will Tracy Hunt, Mark Sergent, Terry Cowan, Jim Cowan, Jeff Cowan and Mark Potter and honorary pallbearers will be Larry Courtney, Ralph Owens, Paul Louallen, Bob DeHart and Harold Porter.
Visitation is from 6-9 p.m., Sunday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, con-tributions are suggested to the Ewing Baptist Church Building Fund or Hayswood Hospice of Hope.

MR. JOLLEY
RIPLEY, Ohio | Michael Allan Jolley, age 56, of Rip-ley, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Drake Cen-ter in Cincinnati.
He was a United States Army Vietnam War vet-eran.
Mike was born Feb. 5, 1956, in Maysville, the son
of the late James Howard and Daisy Ellen (White) Jolley.
Mr. Jolley is survived by his wife, Ruth (Johnson) Jolley; five children, Shawn Johnson of Portsmouth, Ohio, Amy Marshall and husband, Daryl of Deca-tur, Ohio, Jennifer Lang and husband, Ricky of Maysville, Rob Johnson and wife, Pam of Ripley, and James Gilbert and wife, Maggie of Maysville; 14 grandchildren, Gabby, Dan-iel, Sabastian, Christopher, Dakota, Shalee, Trevor, Braiden, Destiny, Michaela, Jerran, Kylee, Alexis and Kaitlin; two great-grand-children, Alexander and Presten; one brother, Ron-ald L. Jolley of Lexington Park, Md.; and three sisters, Debbie Sue Appleman of Minerva, Sharon Eads of Ripley, and Julia Pollitt of Aberdeen, Ohio.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Charter Oak Cemetery in Aberdeen, with Military Honors provided by the Courts-Fussnecker Ameri-can Legion Post No. 367 of Ripley, Ohio.

MRS. MOORETOLLESBORO | Thelma
Mae Moore, 83, of Tolles-boro, died at her home March 29, 2012.
Mrs. Moore was born in the community of Paint Lick in Lewis County on April 24, 1928, to the late George Raymond and Margaret Alice Myers Ar-thurs.
Mrs. Moore attended the Wrights Chapel Church in Garrison and loved being with her ani-mals.
She is survived by her two sons, Bobbie (Deb-bie) Moore of Vanceburg, and Jackie (Rhoda) Moore of Tollesboro; and three
daughters, Betty (Kenny) Dyer of Firebrick, Patsy (Glenn) Ginn of Vance-burg, and Margie (Mike) Miracle. Also surviving are her grandchildren. Dana Rickett, Shannon Ginn, Jodi Bloomfield, Marlena Moore, Amanda Moore, Bradley Dyer, Christopher Dyer, Felicia Moore, Jaron Moore, Ja-cob Moore, Justin Miracle, and Dustin Miracle; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Moore and Doris Holt, both of Vanceburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Moore who died in 1986; a son, Kenneth Moore; brother, James Arthurs; and two sisters, Margie Doyle and Ruth Thurman.
Services for Mrs. Thel-ma Moore will be 2 p.m., Sunday at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Clarence Hall of-ficiating.
Burial will be in the Lewis County Memory Gardens in Vanceburg.
Visitation will be Satur-day, March 31 from 6 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
MRS. PARKERFLEMINGSBURG I De-
lores F. Parker, 89, of Mount Carmel, passed away Friday morning, March 30, 2012, at Fleming County Hos-pital.
She was born Feb. 14, 1923, in Pleasureville, to the late Clarence Thomas and Etta Doyle Fearin.
Mrs. Parker ran Parker’s Furniture and Antiques for many years with her hus-band.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Parker; three sons, Jackie, Donnie and Mickey Parker; sisters, Mary Gardner and Lorene Stanfield; and brothers, D.M. and R.T. Fearin.
