ABOUT SIGIL MAGIC

SIGIL EXAMPLES

PRACTICE YOUR SIGIL

Across all cultures, throughout time, our human need to articulate a desire and make manifest its attainment, has been marked by the creation of seals and symbols. While practiced both magically and spiritually, the Sigil is a tool for centering the heart to give substance to one’s subconscious.

REVEAL Enact this ritual as part of a circle casting, after meditation, or as the need arises. The practice begins with breathing into the belly, allowing the body to settle so as to clear the dust from the mirror of the heart. What is it that you see?

NAME Remain still, as a phrase or a word is illuminated by your attention. Sometimes the name of your desire is immediate. Trust this clarity. At other moments, have patience to listen longer. Trust this also. When the word or phrase emerges, sayit aloud.

COMMIT TO PAPER Write your word or phrase upon the page and follow these steps. • For a phrase, cross out words such as “and, if, the, etc.” and remove duplicate words. • Now, for both a phrase or single word, cross out all duplicate letters. • Reduce the total number of letters to nine or less by crossing out more without dwelling too much upon the selection. Trust your intuition. • Rearrange the remaining letters by rewriting in a random order.

TRANSFORM Write your letters randomly around the perimeter of the circle below. If you wish to make more Sigils later, trace around a small bowl. Draw one letter at a time within the circle in any size, direction, or style. Perhaps rotate the page a little each time. Letters may overlap or cross one another. Add flourishes like curls, dots, or geometric shapes. Place your Sigil where you can gaze upon it each day. Allow time for its focused awareness to propel the heart and mind onwards.

Desire originates within my attentive heart. I call it by its name. By my hand its letters weave a pleasing form. By my mind and measures its essence is soon realized.

Both the words action and talisman are associated with the word sigil via the Hebrew word segula Additionally, sigil’s Latin word origin is sigillum, meaning seal. That’s a pretty powerful .(0ססססס)combination—action, talisman, seal. The practice of creating and using sigils spans all eras, even ours. Look at modern products and companies. Utilizing letters and shapes to manifest a particular goal or desire via a seal, or logo is a proven method. Place this seal where you will notice it throughout the day. Gradually, you may find it evokes tender sensations of your intention in both your mind and heart.

MAGICAL HERBS with MICACotton satchel containing the dried leaves of abre camino and palo santo; dried ßowers of jasmine, calendula, and chamomile; dried petals of rose and cornßower; dried and grated High John the Conquerer root; cross roads dust and mica; all potently charged by a multitude of crystals. This super magical blend is used in the making of our ritual candles. Grind it with your mortar and pestle, perhaps adding additional dried herbs or ßowers from your own garden. Sprinkle over your candle as part of your intention and charging ritual. Not for internal useÑso please do not ingest!

MORTAR & PESTLECast from our EarthÕs iron ore, this is an historically essential tool for ritual practice. Fireproof and sturdy, utilize its solid structure for rites which require you grind, mix, burn, or contain. Be sure to place it upon a Þreproof surface when using it to burn resin or incense. Its exterior may heat up, so do take care to let it cool before handling or cleaning. Wash between uses with warm, soapy water, and be sure to dry well to prevent rust.

ROAD OPENER BATH BOMBThe expectations of a life as it unfolds are often based on what we have witnessed of those who have gone before us. But to align our path with that of anotherÕs is to close the door on our own unique possibilities. For the true beauty of a life to rise to the surface, we must be willing to thrust ourselves time and again into a pristine, new experience. Once the heart is ßung forward, we garner the courage to take hold of whatÕs meant to be ours. Made with organic ingredients and a crystal charged under the full moon, dissolve in warm bathwater to relax and prepare the body for any ritual practice. Take care to remove the crystal from the bath before draining.

PALO SANTO WOOD & SELENITE with DRIED CEDAR TIPPalo santo cleanses and fortiÞes the human spirit. When burned, it invites the presence of ancestral energy.
