Please accept my letter of application for appointment to the City Council for the period

of time called for by City Charter XIX (October 8 until November 28, 2017). I am

attaching a copy of my resume for your information.

I am a citizen of the United States and a resident of Seattle and have a number of years of

experience managing large agencies and offices. I am currently serving on the King

County Board of Equalization, as a result of my appointment by the King County

Executive and confirmed by the King County Council on September 15, 2015.

I would cherish the opportunity to serve on the Council during this period called for in

the City Charter.

I am delighted to state that on October 3rd, the proposed date the Council members will

review applications, I will be celebrating my 88th birthday.
