M Ortiz ( Ya gir l ’s favorite DJ) is the newest club

phenomenon taking the industry by storm. . . And he’s just

getting star ted .

Hai l ing f rom Queens , the young DJ, engineer and

producer, star ted in the local c lub scene and DJing

cater ing hal l events . I t wasn’t long before he was

recruited to spin at Sea Lounge on Lit t le West 12TH Street

and sought to make a name for h imself. Ortiz ambitiously

began bui lding his reputation throughout the Manhattan

club scene, per forming a l l over the Meat Packing Distr ict .

From club Ajna , 1Oak , Toy and Lavo, to Tenjune, K iss

and Fly, RDV and more. His style , much l ike his persona ,

exuberant , yet cool . With musical diversity and turntable

prowess M Ortiz captures audiences f rom Hip Hop lovers

to EDM fanatics .

In addition to his late night club hopping , M Ortiz has

a lso bui lt a formidable resume per forming at par ties and

various product events for some of the worlds biggest

brands , including; Pepsi , Reebok , Latina Magazine ,

17 Magazine , American Apparel (Fashion Night Out), and

A/X in Soho and 5th Ave. As well as DJing parties sponsored

by Angel , Burberry, Chrome fragrances whi le being a “go

to ta lent ” for Scratch Events , for wel l over a year now.

Admirably, M Ortiz has a Master ’s degree in Audio

Engineering , cer tif ication f rom Cl ive Davis summer

institute , and has interned at Avatar Studios NYC . He

a lso works as the l ive/studio engineer for theNylon Mag

featured band, B l ind Benny. Continuing to showcase his

dexterity as an emerging force in music , Ortiz ’s remixes

and productions are gaining notoriety as wel l . H is 2012

remixes , “Can’t Stop Me Now” and “Pay Phone,” have been

played on 92 .3 , to over 2 mi l l ion l isteners .
