The past two times, at 505,000 and 761,000 miles, Shell Oil and Covington Detroit Diesel personnel inspected the engine for contamination & wear found out no problem at all. After 409,000 miles without an oil change, Mack E7-400 engine in this truck was as wear-free as an engine in comparable service treated to 20x the oil changes.
