Estimada comunidad de Roosevelt, En este día después de la histórica elección nacional, muchos de nuestros niños y sus familias están experimentando altos niveles de emoción. Dear Roosevelt Community, On this day following the historic, national election, many of our children and their families are experiencing high levels of emotion. Students will be looking to the adults in their lives to provide a sense of safety and security in these uncertain times. Despite our natural tendency to want everything to go back to “normal”, please do not miss this opportunity to engage in positive dialogue with your children. Teachers are being encouraged to facilitate discussions in their classrooms about how students are feeling as well as reminding students that we are all part of the Roosevelt community and we are moving forward and continuing to support each other, following the school ideals that we have all agreed upon: Respectful, Responsible and Safe behavior. It is important to both acknowledge the intense emotions that students are experiencing, and also encourage students to be hopeful and supportive of each other. There is a great deal to celebrate today. Thank you to all of the families who supported Measure J1 and Proposition 55, ballot initiatives that will ensure that our schools receive the funding and facility upgrades that are sorely needed. T-Shirt For Sale Miss the Fall Festival? We still have limited sizes available in the office! There are still some Youth "Strength in Numbers" available in sizes small and x-large only. We are completely sold out of all youth pull overs and zip hoodies. Parents, grandparents, friends and families, you are in luck! We still have a limited number of all adult sizes and styles in both the "Strength in Numbers" wear as well as the "Roosevelt Classic" line. Sizes range from small to 3x-large. We will not be placing another order for school clothing this year so get your shirt before it is too late! And finally, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has already purchased their Roosevelt wear!
