Future Vision Plan overview
T he Future Vision Plan is The Rotary
Foundation’s new grant model to support club
and district humanitarian and educational
projects.
Why was it adopted?
The Foundation Trustees identified a growing need to focus efforts
in order to achieve greater impact, more public recognition, and
streamlined operations for improved efficiency. The new grant
structure will enable Rotarians to change people’s lives, make the
world a better place, and help meet the priorities and goals of
Rotary's strategic plan.
When does it start?
A three-year pilot began in July 2010, with 100 Rotary districts testing the plan. All districts will transition
to the new model in July 2013.
How does it work?
Under Future Vision, the Foundation offers two types of grants. District grants are block grants that
enable clubs and districts to address immediate needs in their communities and abroad. Global grants offer
opportunities to participate in strategically focused, high-impact activities within the six areas of focus.
Global grants range from $30,000 to $400,000.

Mowgli Mentorship Experience .. introduced by Thanaa Khasawneh
Rotary Club Amman West had an exciting meeting as Speaker Thanaa Khasawneh introduced The Mowgli Mentorship Experience, a program developed by the MOWGLI foundation to encouraging sustainable job creation and social and economic development. Miss Thanaa started with how the organization was started by Tony and the ideology behind it and how the name was a result of , Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book, the story of Mowgli and the lessons he learnt from his animal mentors. Further she explained the Mowgli's mission which is to provide mentors who inspire, support and empower entrepreneurs in achieving their business and personal potential encouraging sustainable job creation and social and economic development. She further explained the recruitment procedure for both mentors and mentees as well as the importance of the "Hero's Journey" and how each person is a Hero with a need for adventure in their lives and the pressures of life (you can read more on the subject http://mowgli.org.uk/944/the-heros-journey-a-metaphor-for-mentoring.html). During the meeting all the club celebrated P Bashar's Birthday
Rotarians from Rotary Club of Amman West Omar Fakhouri
Omar Fakhouri joined the club in 1998. He is a graduate of De La
Salle College in Amman. Graduated from American College of Switzerland with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. Upon
graduating he worked with Royal Jordanian and then opened business. Currently he is the Co-Owner of World Class Travel.
Omar is an active member and enjoys participating in Club Projects he believes that " Rotary is educational and taught me how to help needy people and build relations. It is always good to be a Rotarian"

"Emotional Intelligence Awareness Session"
Rotaractors of Amman West had a successful session on " Emotional Intelligence" which conducted by Better Business' Chief Learning Officer/Co-Founder Dr. Suhail Jouaneh on Monday January 23, 2012. Over 30 participants attended and Here are some pictures from the sessions:
