RRC connection setup timers
After the eNB sent the RRC Connection setup, it wait for a
specific time for the
UE to send RRC Connection Setup Complete message, what is that
timer?
The T300 timer is started when the UE sends an
RRCConnectionRequestmessage. If thetimer expires before the UE has
received a response in the form of anRRCConnectionetupor Re!ect"
the UE informs the higher #a$ers and ends the
connectionprocedure.
The T30% timer is started when the UE sends an
RRCConnectionReestab#ishmentRequestfo##owing a radio #in&
fai#ure. If the timer expiresbefore the UE has received an
RRCConnectionRestab#ishmentor anRRCConnectionReestab#ishmentRe!ect"
the UE enters Id#e mode.
The T3%0 timer is started when 'h$sica# #a$er prob#ems are
detected whereb$ the UEreceives (3%0 out)of)s$nc indicators. The
timer is stopped if (3%% in)s$nc indicators arereceived. If T3%0
expires" the UE either enters Id#e mode or initiates the
connectionreestab#ishment procedure" depending on whether securit$
is activated.
The T3%% timer is started when the RRC reconnection procedure is
started. If the timerexpires before the se#ection of a suitab#e *TE
+or other R,T- ce##" the UE enters Id#e mode.
