Dedication of the newest Habitat for Hu-manity home will be Saturday, May 5, said Rick Sloan TriState HFH volunteer, Aurora.

The “celebration” will begin at 10 a.m. at 522 Saint Clair St., Lawrenceburg, a site donated by the City of Lawrenceburg. This is Habitat's 14th home in Dearborn and Ohio counties, built for and with partner family Venus Michele Graham, a single mother of six.

Graham, who works two jobs, also is a college student, with a goal of becoming a home hospice nurse. She currently is employed as a home health aide and as an

office administrator.Habitat partner families put in several

hundred hours of volunteer labor on their own and/or other Habitat homes. Once a house is finished, they make mortgage pay-ments which then help fund future Habitat homes for others.

Graham previously said the mortgage payments will be less than her current rent.

Habitat has been building homes in Southeast Indiana since 1995, when a chap-ter was organized in Dearborn and Ohio counties. The chapter later partnered with TriState Habitat for Humanity.

lywood Casino have partnered and opened a new attended donation center located on U.S. 50 at the Hollywood Casino overflow parking lot in Greendale.

The agreement was facilitated by Blackjack Advertising.

Hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For the convenience of donors, the center will be staffed with an at-tendant who will assist contributors with their donations and offer them a receipt.
