OBJECTIVES

This modular practice, enable the pupils to recognise the step-by-step of writing processes,

and understand the importance of the processes before publishing a narrative story or essay.

Help pupils to be organized in writing narrative stories or essays.

PRACTICE 1

Create a BME Chart (Beginning, Middle, and End Chart) - Deconstructing

1. Read the story below.2. In the chart, write the events that took place at the beginning, middle, and end of the

story using your own words / icons / pictures –  to help you understand the flow.

 Amran was orphaned when he was six years old. His parents passed away in atragic road accident when they went for a holiday. So, he grew up in Sinar Harapanorphanage. He was always very diligent in his studies and household chores when he

 was there. Everyone liked him. He aspired to be a successful doctor. So, he worked hard. As he was diligent and

perseverant in his studies, he always attained excellent results in his examination. Soon,the Social Welfare Department offered him a scholarship to pursue his higher studies. Hedid not decline. He studied hard in the university and achieved excellence in all hisexaminations.

Finally, he succeeded in becoming a doctor. As a doctor, Dr. Amran has neverforgotten he is an orphan who had gotten a lot of help from others. He wants to repay

other’s kindness. So, since he has established his own clinic, he gives free treatment tothe orphans and the poor people who cannot afford payment. Dr. Amran is a kind,successful and considerate doctor.
