Samaric is berthed in Palma, Mallorca, which is the perfect base to explore the Balearics –Mallorca, Menorca, Formentera and
Ibiza – as well as the coast of Spain and the south of France. Other destinations can be included by request.
Set in the Mediterranean to the east of the Spanish peninsula, the Balearic Islands have long been a popular holiday
destination. Prized for their clear waters, sandy beaches, lively harbours and quaint fishing villages, the Balearics possess a
special lifestyle and cuisine as varied and exciting as sailing among the islands themselves.
Each island is very different, with its own unique landscape and flavour. Mallorca is the largest with over 330 miles of
coastline. Its varied landscape includes mountains and a coastline studded with tiny villages and beaches. Hillside
terraces are planted with orange, clementine and lemon trees alongside olives and grapes. Mallorca also has a lively
yachting industry and is home to many well-equipped harbours around its coast.
Of all the Balearic Islands, Menorca is the least commercial and has retained much of its natural beauty and traditional
Spanish heritage. Along with stunning beaches, there are countless archaeological sites and cultural attractions scattered
throughout the island, from prehistoric settlements to fascinating museums.
Ibiza, often called the White Island for its architecture, has beautiful beaches,
azure blue waters, stunning scenery, legendary nightclubs and a lively atmosphere.
Formentera is the smallest of the Islands, just off the coast of Ibiza and often referred
to as the ‘last paradise of the Mediterranean’. Development is kept to a minimum,
although the main resort of Es Pujols has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
The joy of sailing around the islands is discovering their wealth of sandy coves
and inlets, some only accessible from the sea, just waiting to be explored.

Mallorca really has everything. You’ll find long sandy beaches on the east of
the island ideal for surfing and sunbathing, while in the north east there are
secluded coves, perfect for swimming and lazing.
Here’s an example of a seven-day cruise around the island.
D AY 1Before setting sail, explore Palma, Mallorca’s main town and home to one
of the largest marinas in Europe. The narrow, winding cobbled streets of the
Old Town hide numerous tapas bars, restaurants and cafes, while the
cathedral towers over the town and is well worth a visit. Board Samaric in
the afternoon and get your bearings while the skipper sails to Puerto
Andraitx, one of the prettiest harbours in Mallorca. The town of Andratx is
a few miles inland if you feel like exploring. Otherwise relax and enjoy the
sunset – and a cocktail – from the deck.
D AY 2Next stop is Puerto Soller, a spectacular horseshoe-shaped bay on the rocky
west coast. You can either tie up in the marina alongside local fishing boats
or anchor in the middle of the sheltered bay. Head ashore to the charming
town and check out the little shops and cafes that line the waterfront.
D AY 3After breakfast, relax while the skipper sails on to Puerto Pollensa on the
north coast. Enjoy lunch on board before visiting the town – take a
leisurely stroll along the promenade lined with palm trees that run along
the whole of the resort.

DAY 4Next it’s the pretty resort of Cala Rajada on the far north-east corner of the
island. There are some great small sandy beaches, although those near the
town can get crowded. The joy of Samaric is that you can find your own
remote beach, drop anchor and swim and sunbathe to your heart’s content. If
you’re feeling energetic, try your hand at jet skiing or enjoy an exhilarating ride
in Samaric’s turbojet tender. An evening barbecue on the Flybridge will be the
perfect end to a perfect day.
D AY 5Next morning set sail for Cala Llonga, a beautiful triple bay with pine-
covered hills and white sandy beaches, plus a new and modern marina at
Cala D’Or. Indulge in some shopping in the main pedestrian area around
Cala Gran before returning to Samaric for a lazy afternoon of swimming
and sunbathing.
D AY 6The last stop is Cabrera Island, a nature reserve in the south of Majorca
which consists of 17 islands and islets. There are some beautiful walks up
from the limestone cliffs along the coastline, especially from Cala Pi where
the views across to Cabrera are spectacular. Anchor in either Cala Galiota or
Es Dimoni bay, which are an underwater paradise for snorkelling and diving.
Finish your last day with an al fresco buffet party in Samaric’s Aft Cockpit,
complete with music under the stars.
D AY 7Return to Palma at the end of a perfect cruise.

With your own chef and the abundance of fresh produce available, you’ll dine in style on board Samaric. Plump,
juicy fruit, vegetables ripened in the Mediterranean sun, fish straight from the sea… meals will be mouthwatering.
Be sure to sample some authentic Mallorcan cuisine during your holiday. Seafood is one of the principal
ingredients, but there are plenty of meat and vegetable dishes. Soups are traditional Mallorcan fare, made with
fine slices of bread in a hot broth with vegetables and, sometimes, meat. Trempó is a salad of tomato, red pepper
and onion, with a dressing of olive oil, vinegar and salt, that accompanies most meals in summer. Tumbet is
another typical accompaniment, made from finely-sliced fried potatoes, aubergine and peppers in a tomato sauce.
Paella, though originally from Valencia, is also cooked on Mallorca, where it is also known as arròs sec; it is
normally made with vegetables, meat and seafood. Albergínies Farcides (aubergines stuffed with meat) are
lightly fried with olive oil and then baked in a tomato sauce.
The Mediterranean offers a wide variety of fish, often served simply grilled – delicious! Calamars Farcits (squid
stuffed with meat) is a typical dish as is Peix Escabetxat, fish which is fried then cooled in a sauce of oil and
vinegar with onion. Pa mallorquí (Mallorcan bread), a round loaf made without salt, forms a part of all meals.
Of course, having your own chef means that you can help to devise and fine-tune your menus, taking into
account your preferences, so that every meal is memorable.

Forget hotels! Samaric has everything you need – and more – whether
it’s a one-day charter, intimate party, family holiday or corporate event.
With four double cabins, Samaric can accommodate a maximum of eight guests
sleeping on board in two doubles and two twins. For day charter, she can accommodate
a maximum of 15, including crew and for static charter a maximum of 30.
Both double cabins feature king-size beds and all four cabins have stylish granite or marble en suites, full reverse
cycle air conditioning, TV and DVD/CD/ipod plug in player. To make you feel at home, you’ll be pampered with
Egyptian cotton monogrammed bed linen, duck or goose down pillows and the highest-quality bath towels.
If you fancy a midnight feast, the galley is fully fitted with fridges and freezer, full-sized fan oven plus microwave
grill and four-ring ceramic hob – and an all-important dishwasher.

If you’re looking for a holiday that leaves behind life’s stresses and strains, then take to the water in Samaric. Lots of fresh air
and sunshine, as well as fresh food, swimming and snorkelling – plus the relaxing rhythm of the waves – all enjoyed in
luxurious surroundings with your every whim catered for. Now doesn’t that sound like heaven?
S P E C I F I C A T I O N
Samaric boasts plenty of space to relax, entertain and sunbathe. The stylish carpeted saloon seats 8-10 on smart
leather sofas and has full reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you cool and dimmer lights to suit your mood.
Help yourself to drinks from the bar area which has a fridge and crystal glassware. If you can’t bear to miss your
favourite TV programmes, there’s a 40” flat-screen TV with surround sound, and music is courtesy of a
sophisticated audio system.
Outside, the Aft Cockpit is a spacious area for al fresco dining and entertaining, with a teak laid deck and
polished cherrywood table that can seat 8-10. A music system and blue mood lighting add to the ambiance.
Whether you’re in port, anchored or underway, the Flybridge is a fantastic area with sun loungers, a gas
barbecue, fridge and wet bar – not forgetting the all-important music system and mood lighting.
For serious sunbathing, the Foredeck is the place to catch the rays.
