education” - Martin Luther King Jr.

It’s my privilege to share this wonderful newsbulletin

which relects the growth of our Institution on various

aspects. This edition highlights the hidden talents of

students and staff in promoting the achievements in

various innovative approaches.

This bulletin highlights greater achievements such as

conferences/seminars attended & paper publications

at National/International levels and other innovative

projects. They have stimulated fresh ideas with

different perceptiveness with strong passion to

achieve individual and universal goal for success. They

have also participated in Co-curricular and Sports to

prove their individual talents.

I wholeheartedly thank all the stakeholders for

showing interest and overall support to the growth of

our Institution. I congratulate all the students and

staff for their ultimate support in their promotion and

wish them a great success to reach greater heights in

the years to come and serve better in promoting the

welfare of our Institution and Society as well.

The 19th Graduation Day was celebrated on 28, May

2016 at the college campus. The programme started

with the Welcome Address by Dr. R. Nalini, Principal

followed by the Declaration of the Graduation Ceremony

open by Dr. R. Narayanasamy Chairman-SRET. The Chief

Guest Thiru. C. Chandrasekhar, Head of Human

Resources, Atmel R&D India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai delivered

the Graduation Day address. Also he awarded the

Degrees to the Graduands and presented the Medals to

the Rank holders.

Special Awards were given to the following

students for their academic excellence in attaining the

University ranks.

The 23rd College and Sports Day were celebrated

on 15th April 2016. The new Trustees were the Chief

Guest. The presidential address was given by Dr.

R.Narayanasamy, Chairman-SRET and the special

address was given by Thiru. S. Audiseshiah, Rtd.(IAS),

Trustee-SRET, Thiru M.D.Rajkumar, Secretary &

Trustee-SRET, Dr. P. Govindarajulu, Trustee-SRET,

Dr. S. Sumathi, Trustee-SRET and Tmt. Kasthury

Parthasarathy, Trustee-SRET. Academic Awards were

distributed to staffs and students for their

excellencies in their performance. Also, Staffs and

Students were awarded for their achievements in

Sports. Overall best performance awards were given

SREC Campus cleaning activity was carried out by our

NSS unit on 28.1.2016.

NSS “Special Camp” programme was conducted from 18th Feb

to 25th Feb 2016.

The premises of Lord Shiva Temple Perumalpattu was cleaned

by the volunteers on 18 and 19th Feb 2016.

Premises of Govt. Middle school Perumalpattu was cleaned on

20 and 21st Feb 2016.
