important dotail!l of a. military organization I was immeasurably surprj..cd and

plcnscd, when a few months afterwards I inspected the )fonf.renl Brigade and tho

various camp!! assembled for tboir annual drill in Ontario. Strong, able and hardy

men composed the rank and file; zealous, intelligent officN:s commanded, and willing obedient young gentlemen officered tho companic~.
