Sa-Dhan in association with FICCI is organizing the Financial Inclusion Conference-2012 on the 7th

& 8th August 2012 in Hotel The Ashok, New Delhi. This conference provides a unique platform for

dialogue, information sharing and forging partnerships. This is a platform to deliberate upon the

contemporary issues and concerns of the sector, and finding the way forward.

The theme of this year's conference is "The First Mile Walk into the Financial System". While a

great job has been accomplished during these years, it is believed that the sector is yet to cover

millions of excluded population from its ambit.

This year, the Conference would dwell upon the distinctiveness of the Indian approach towards

inclusive growth, the glory & future of the SHG movement, need for innovation, improvement and

information disseminations and also the expected role for microfinance sector to advance the

cause of financial inclusion under the prevailing regulatory architecture. Besides, the conference

would also discourse on the areas of effective infrastructure for financial inclusion which among

other things will include Credit information system, technology and promotional costs for the BC

model, Social security, lending to microenterprises etc.
