ADMIN REPORTS:
Chair Report Hi all thank you for letting me be of service. I attended the Admin meeting last month and we worked on this year’s fiscal budget that will be presented this evening to this service body. I also attended PR School Presentation meeting and they are working on some exciting service work for this areas schools. I have been in contact with all the task leaders that fall under my purview and they are all on task. I have also made myself available for any mentoring or training needed by the new Admin members and hope that as the year moves along we will have some members interested in stepping up for service at the ASC level. I also regretfully need to inform this service body that Heather the Schedules Task Leader had to step down from her position immediately. Therefore, this position will be open for nominations this evening however, we will be unable to elect someone until next month, so please take this information back to your groups about this service position being available.
In Loving Service,
Sonya

Treasurer’s ReportHello all, I would like to thank Leslie for being willing to step in as the Assistant Treasurer. We have met and prepared the Proposed Budget. I have the proposed budget for review and approval.
Leslie and I have been working on the quick books audit for accuracies. I feel in a better place with having her and I work together.
I have had several checks/money orders that have been placed in the basket without a group number. When an address is put on the money orders only, it makes it very hard to find the group on our list. Please if you don't know your group number, ask the admin assistant as she can help you find it.
Thank you for letting me be of service.

 Web ServantHi Everyone,
This past month in addition to the regular site updates and maintenance I created a new page called Locator. This new page extends the current meeting schedule functionality to the latest technology by allowing mobile users to locate upcoming meetings on the go, utilizing GPS and location services.
The new page was quite a challenge to create in the current capacity, since it is using three separate technologies not usually combined in this particular manner.Google Visualization APIGoogle Maps API
Google Charts API for dynamically customizable map markersBecause of this, the site will only work on the latest and greatest mobile devices, such as iPhones 4 and above, Android phones running Jelly Bean/Kit Kat and Windows Mobile Phone 7.8 ornewer.
Locator can be accessed via a new button on the Meetings page, called Meeting Locator:
Once the button is clicked, the Locator site will open in a new tab. It first checks to see if Location Services are available and enabled on the device.
If it is not, a pop-up message will warn the user and proceeds with a general map of Sacramento without using the current location. This feature, allows people to use the page even on a computer without GPS just to display upcoming meetings in the Sacramento Area.
If it is, the page will ask for permission to use the user’s current location, which will put a “you are here” tag on a map and upcoming meetings around the user.
The page queries the meetings schedule and will pull all upcoming meetings for today. It colors the next five meetings in green. If the fifth meeting happens to be one which falls on the same time as more upcoming meetings, it will also color those meetings in green. For example: the fifth meeting is at noon. However, there are three more meetings coming up at noon, thus the site will color eight meetings instead of just five.
If there are no more meetings for the rest of the day, the page will let the user know to check back tomorrow and clicking on the ok button in the message will redirect back to the online schedule page.
The meetings are painted onto the map using custom markers, displaying each meeting’s time.
This allows people to pick upcoming meetings convenient to their schedule. Zooming in on the map will automatically rearrange the tags, but will keep them the exact same size for the best visibility and accessibility. Tapping or clicking on these markers will display a detailed information about that meetings, such as group name, address, meeting types, etc.
Of course, all this information is coming out of the online schedule’s spreadsheet and once new meetings are added or updated, the map will display the new information on the next launch. Please, let me if you have any questions about this or any other parts of our site.
A pleasure to being in service,
Gabor
Vice Chair ReportGSR need to report to their groups that many positions need to be filled in the Unity Day, Activities and Outreach task groups. These three task groups are an essential function to the Sacramento Fellowship of NA. We cannot properly support, plan and bring about event and/or workshops if we don't have these open positions filled.
Jeff
 ActivitiesHello Sac Fellowship,
Thank you to all who participated in the brainstorming session at the last ASC that addressed how the Activities Task group could better find support from the area. We took your suggestions and have decided to change the time, date, and location of our monthly business meeting. We are now meeting the third Tuesday of the month at the Starbucks located at 1429 Broadway, Sacramento, Ca. 95818 ( 15th and Broadway). Please announce this at your groups. There is also a flyer which states the change as well. A final accounting of the Comedy event is done and we are happy to report that event netted $1074.00 profit for the area.
Thank you for letting me be of service,
Kyle M
OutreachI attended admin team meeting this month. The task group is busy planning the next workshops

Admin Assistant ReportEverything was going well until the computer I was using stopped working. I has Gabor and Leslie take a look at it. It no longer works am in need of a new computer.
I went to the admin meeting last month. Almost everyone was there. I am very familiar with everything I am supposed to be doing and I am staying very well organized do to the structure, which I love. I hope everyone is registered for the Convention NCCNA: April 17-20th, Sacramento Convention Center. I look forward to seeing you all there.
Thank you for allowing me to be of service,
Emily L
Policy and Procedure Report I met with Lisa for a quick briefing of the policy & procedure duties and some insight of what this position entails. I attended the admin. meeting. I'm working this evening with the Jr. RCM on the GSR orientation to get familiarized with this task. Please put in your reports that this position is available due to the fact that I am only in this position temporarily.
Service Enthusiast~ Bryan T.
Public Relations ReportWe provided newcomer orientations at two recovery facilities in March. If you are interested in volunteering to participate in these panels, please contact John H.
As of March, the literature distribution task group is placing schedules in 14 community facilities. Kevin W. resigned from the current task leader position at the end of March. He and I are still willing to train someone who will to take over the task leader position. If you are interested, please contact Kevin W. I am also willing to train anyone who wants to distribute literature to community facilities.
The NA Postering Task Group is looking for dedicated volunteers to continue the efforts in April to post flyers that have tear-offs with the phone line number at local businesses! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Jose A.
The schools presentation task group is currently meeting regularly to develop an effective plan to reach out to schools in the SacFNA area. The task group is looking for members who want to volunteer to speak on school panels. Contact Mike D. for more information on how to get involved.
We are still on the lookout for for a task group leader for community and health fair booth sittings, as well as a new task group leader for literature distribution. If you know someone who has leadership and organizational skills, please have them contact me. GSRs: Please continue to announce these openings at your groups and pass the PR Volunteer Form at your groups.
Four members attended the PR task group meeting in March. Please continue to get the word out that the PR Task Group meets at 7pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 720 7th Street in Sacramento. The next meeting is scheduled for April 29th, which is the 5th Tuesday in April. Please contact me at [email protected] if you want to volunteer or have any questions regarding public relations.
Peace, Dave M.
Phoneline Report There were 44 calls to the phoneline from March 1st to March 25th. All calls were forwarded to a volunteer, there were no abandoned calls reported by the machine. There were 3 messages to the system that were hang ups by the caller. The machine also reported no missed calls. There was a short period of about 8 days where my phone disconnected from the e-mail account from the machine. I was not receiving a message that there were voice messages for me to review. I missed three messages from people looking for help finding meetings. By the time I checked the e-mail account, it was too late to get back to those three callers.

 H & I Report
We had a productive month. We were able to meet and clear up some old business, as well as have a few elections. We have a new meeting at the VOA re-entry center off of Richards Blvd. and North 5th St. we finally closed the books on the BluesFest. We also made a decision to step back from on the joint venture with American River because we were unable to secure a venue. As always, we are still in need of volunteers for Sac County Main Jail, RCCC, and Yolo County Main Jail and Juvenile hall. Other than that, things have been running smoothly.
Roberto G
Jr RCM’s ReportThis is my first attempt at making a report, so bare with me. If you have any questions I will do
my best to answer them. I attended Region on 3/8/2014. I brought back flyers from the surrounding areas that were made available. Mendocino announced that the T.A.C. Convention was a hugh success, with close to 1,000 people in attendance.
At Region , the Alternate Treasurer had to step down for employment relocation. The Money Matters Project will be put on hold since he was the Chair of the project. Toward the end of the meeting Ed W. qualified for Alt Treasurer and was voted in. He will look into continuing the Project.
Sunday, June 1st, was set for the N.A. 101 hosted by the SacFNA. Waiting for location.
C.A.R. ballots from Home Groups due by 4/4 so results can be reported at next RSC on 4/12. C.A.T. (Conference Approval Track) was presented. I have a Summary Review available.
In N.A. World Service the electronic version of The Journey Continues is now available and the36th World Convention will be held in Rio de Janeiro in June of 2015.
Regional H&I will have a table at NCCNA. They are providing meetings to 13 fire camps in Northern California and have 170+ volunteers to take in the meetings. They are moving forward with creating a H&I training guide. They are looking for volunteers to work on the NA Beyond the Gates Project.(also in need of a team leader) In need volunteers to be correspondence sponsors for men and women in long term facilities. (Inmate requests exceed volunteers.) Look for the H&I and Public Relations meetings and workshops at NCCNA 36 held on Fri 4/18 and Sat 4/19. Public Relations reported Webinar #3: Fellowship Development. If you’re interested in fellowship development and/or in using online tools, enroll in the final webinar scheduled for Sunday, April 27th. Sign in at: http://goo.gl/EwrrtQat least a couple of days in advance. You can register for the Western Service Learning Days October event at http://wsld28.org.
NCCNA pre-reg closes 4/2. As of Feb. 28th, 100% of the contracted room blocks at the Hyatt were met. The Sheraton has opened up a room block and those are going fast. The NCCNA subcommittee has worked an entire cycle with open positions. They are sending out a LOUD plea for volunteers to be of service at NCCNA 37. They were also asked to check on other venues for future NCCNA sites, particularly in Oakland and Redding. The Contract Negotiators reported back that the convention centers have made improvements but lack the number of big box (rooms) to hold simultaneous events.
The NCRSO Board of Directors reported the total sales at the Feb 22nd Open House were $1,791.31 and of that NCCNA merchandise was $688.00. It was financially successful but poorly attended. The Jan and Feb sales were not so good and the finances for the RSO are strained. This put their hopes for a janitorial service on hold. As of Feb. the RSO was -9,406.33. A check for $7,546.70 was passed onto the RSC treasurer from a room reimbursement from a prior NCCNA. The RSO will have a booth at the California Mid State Convention (6/13to6/15) and will be selling literature and gift items. The RSO is now good to ship to California prisons and the first order was shipped to an inmate in C.C.C. at Susanville. The RSO Board of Directors will have vacancies for the President and Vice President positions coming up in June. You must submit a resume to the RSC first. As a reminder, Event Insurance runs from 7/1/14 to 6/30/15, so don’t get a certificate this June that will expire in July.
In open forum I brought up the question on merchandise pricing. SacFNA merchandise prices are lower because we pick up our merchandise at the RSO and do not pay additional shippi9ng. There is not a set rate to sell merchandise after it has been purchased, Groups remain autonomous.
MOTIONS:
#1. To approve budget variance for FST mileage from $3,000 to $4,000 to allow reimbursement mileage to FST members for the remaining quarter. PASSED
#2. To donate $7,546.70 to the RSO to support our own service committee before passing funds on to the WSC. PASSED
#3. To instruct NCCNA Committee to eliminate mandatory registration required to all meetings and event locations beginning NCCNA 2015. FAILED
