King of the Universe
Next Sunday, November 25 is the Solem-
nity of Christ the King. After the 11:00 AM Mass, there will be an exposition and ado-
ration of the Blessed Sacrament until 3:00
PM. “The last week of the Liturgical Year is devoted to eschatological themes: Christ the King will restore all crea-
tion and restore his kingdom to the Father. The risen peo-
ple of God will rejoice in a new heaven and a new earth. “There, with the whole creation, freed from the corruption
of sin and death, may we glorify you through Christ our
Lord.” (EP IV)

Beginning the First Sunday of Advent,
Sunday, December 2, please come early for the 9:00 AM Mass, Fr. Rector will lead us in praying
the Morning Prayer (Lauds).
“All members of the Church are called to join in the public
prayer of God’s people, praising God and praying for the wel-fare of the world. It is not reserved to clergy or religious. Lay
persons are encouraged to celebrate at least some of the liturgi-
cal hours…Pastors should promote this work of praise in their parishes, and look for ways of promoting the celebration of the
hours in their community.”
MASS FOR THE DECEASED CLERGY & RELIGIOUS
On Tuesday, November 20, 5:30PM here at Sacred Heart
Cathedral, Mass will be celebrated in commemoration of
the deceased clergy and religious who have served in the
Diocese of Prince George. We invite you to join Bishop
Stephen Jensen and the priests of the diocese in remem-
brance and prayer for the souls of the deceased clergy
and religious.
The annual Volleyball Tournament took place this weekend at St. Mary's. It was a great sporting event for the many partici-pants. Well done to our Panther coaches and athletes!
Sacred Heart School hosted a Spirit Day on Friday, November 16. Students and staff were delighted to display their finest moustach-es on that day!
The ROAR program is in full swing with leaders involved in many acts of service and kindness throughout the school. ROAR is an acronym for Respect, Optimism, Acceptance and Rejoice, attitudes which the school encourages among the students and staff. Well done to all those students who participate in the program with Ms. Gilbert.
Our next Movie Night is planned for Thursday, November 22nd. Doors open at 6 p.m. Snacks will be available. Bring your pillows and blankets!
November 23rd is a Non-Instructional Report Card Writing Day.
Huble Homestead staff will visit Sacred Heart School this week to present a workshop on local history.
Parishioners who are presently fulfilling liturgical
ministries as readers, extraordinary ministers of
holy communion, ministers of hospitality (greeters)
are invited to attend formation and training with
Fr. Rector on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 6:00 PM
– 7:30 PM at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Any parish-
ioners who are interested to fulfill these ministries
are also invited to come and participate to the for-
