Thank You...Thank You...Thank You

The beautiful tree in the front of church was gifted by Holy Family Parish as a 100th Anniversary gift. Please be sure to stop and

say a prayer of thanks for the wonderful gift from our parish partners. We also want to take this time to welcome all of you who got up early to join us for Mass and the dedication. We are very blessed to be part of such a wonderful faith family.

Centennial Gifts

There have been some inquiries concerning memorial gifts for Sacred Heart’s 100th Anniversary. If you have a special memorial or gift you want to make, please put your gift in an envelope marked “100th Anniversary Gift”. If your gift is dedicated in honor of someone,

please be sure to enclose the name and occasion. There will also be special collection receptacles in the parish center on the evening of the event.

Sacred Heart 100 years

Sacred Heart Parish 100th June 14, 1914-2014

The time has arrived...next week the festivities will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Mass and a dinner reception

immediately following in the parish center. If you or someone you know did not get an invitation or did not get the RSVP mailed back, please sign up on the sheet in the back of church. A big Thank You to everyone on the 100th Anniversary Committee for your hard work.

Christ promised His Apostles He would send an advocate, and, on Pentecost, they received the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Apostles began to preach the Gospel in every tongue, and about 3,000 people were converted and baptized. That is why Pentecost is often called "the birthday of

the Church." On this day, with the descent of the Holy Spirit, Christ's mission is completed, and the New Covenant is inaugurated. http://catholicism.about.com
