SAFI Institute of Advanced Study (SIAS) is a centre for research and higher education. It is the

academic wing of Social Advancement Foundation of India (SAFI). SIAS is partly residential and is

located on a vast campus , 22 kms away from Kozhikode city towards Calicut airport. Along with the

management, a dynamic team of teachers and scientists contribute significantly to the fulfillment of

the academic programmes. SIAS possesses state of art laboratories and an excellent library.

Founded in August 29, 2005, the Institute is housed in a sprawling building in a lush green backdrop

3. The application form can be obtained on payment of Rs. 200/- in person from SIAS or at the SIAS Information Centre at Kozhikkode city (KRS Plaza, Opp. KSRTC Bus Stand, Mavoor Road, Kozhikkode. Ph: 0495-4190959, 9895099081).

4. Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from website www.siasindia.org in which case, a demand draft for Rs.200/- (per application) is to be enclosed along with the filled in application. The DD is to be drawn in favour of “SAFI Institute of Advanced Study” payable at State Bank of India, Ramanattukara Branch and is to be sent along with the filled in application. The name of the applicant and the purpose of re-mittance should be written on the reverse side of the demand draft.

5. The application form should reach the office of the Principal, Safi Institute of Advanced Study, Rasiya Nagar, Vazhayoor East.P.O., Malappuram-673633, Kerala State, India before the notified date. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

6. Applicants should enclose attested copies of the following documents:

i Copy of mark list

ii Copy of pass certificate of qualifying examination

7. Applicants for PG courses should enclose a self-addressed envelope with required stamp for ordinary post along with each application.

Students should keep sufficient attested copies of their marks card and / or certificates before they submit their originals at the time of admission. The original certificates will be returned to the student from the Institute only after the programme is completed and all dues to the Institute are cleared.

If any candidate who is provisionally selected fails to report on or before the specified date and time or if he/she fails to pay the prescribed fees, his/her selection will stand cancelled.

SIAS-DoR with a state-of-art Central Instruments Facility is the research wing of the Institute, which has been involved in advanced research in various areas of life sciences such as Medical, Plant, Animal and Food Biotechnolog , Industrial & Medical Microbiology, yBiochemistry, Food Technology, Bioinformatics and Modern Agricultural Technologies. The Centre caters to the needs of all science students for carrying out their research projects besides the regular projects of the institute.

Use of cellphones by students in the campus at any time and in any place is banned. Violation of this rule will result in confiscation of the phone and levying of fines.

The campus has a beautifully built Cultural Centre for prayer and meditation, with separate floors for boys and girls. The Cultural Centre will be holding classes and discussions on ethical and moral values to help the students develop leadership qualities. In a serene ambience it boosts academic culture as well. The students should uphold the moral standards of honesty, compassion, respect for elders and kindness towards all living beings.

The entire campus is connected to INTERNET through WiFi and cable.

Bus facility is provided from the following places to the institution on payment basis, which is subject to revision: Ramanattukara, Feroke, Calicut & Edavannappara.
