Second Sunday in Ordinary Time January 19, 2020

I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.

SAINT AGNES (died 304) January 21 Writing about Saint Agnes in the year 377, Saint Ambrose, Bishop of Milan, declared: “This is a virgin’s birthday into heaven: let us imitate her chastity! And a martyr’s heavenly birthday: let us offer ourselves in sacrifice!” Chastity: mastery of oneself in order to give of oneself whether in the priestly, religious, married, or single state. Sacrifice: “to make holy,” to set someone or something apart for service. Ambrose knew these virtues indispensable for discipleship, but challenging to practice in his world—or our own. Barely a teenager, Agnes faced gruesome tortures bravely and, when ordered to worship pagan gods, boldly made the Sign of the Cross instead. Thus, her youthful courage strengthened adult believers who wavered under persecution or grew indifferent when persecutions passed. To bestow on Agnes its highest honor and keep her witness fresh in believers’ hearts, the Church inscribed her name at the heart of the Eucharistic liturgy, in the Roman Canon (Eucharistic Prayer I), until Vatican II the Roman Church’s only Eucharistic Prayer. —Peter Scagnelli, Copyright © J. CALLED TO BE HOLY With this Sunday we begin Ordinary Time. The readings tell us about God’s relationship with Israel and John the Baptist’s relationship with Jesus. Israel’s relationship with God is so close, so intimate, that it is through Israel that God’s “salvation [will] reach to the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 49:6). But we know from John the Baptist that for Israel to accomplish God’s will, it must also recognize that Jesus is the Son of God. During these weeks we also get to know Jesus. We begin to understand more deeply our relationship to Jesus and what that relationship means for us, who are “called to be holy” (1 Corinthians 1:2). Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

Parish Registration

Our parish has the status of a Personal Parish, which means that only the person who declares their will to belong to the parish is considered a parishioner.

Every Sunday, participation in masses, or the fact of living in the parish is not synonymous with belonging to it.

In addition, the fact that someone in our parish has participated in the premarital teachings, married or baptized a child does not mean automatically belonging to the parish, because in our community there are weddings and baptisms of people outside the parish.

Each parishioner can receive several certificates by belonging to a particular community and organizing all the procedures related to the sacraments, for example:

• Baptism or the Sacrament of Marriage • Receive certificates to be a confirmation

sponsor or wedding witness. • They may also receive permission to be

baptized or baptize their own child in another parish (for example, in their respective Countries)

• Permission to marry in another parish.

II NIEDZIELA OKRESU ZWYKŁEGO 19 stycznia 2020

Okres zwykły w Kościele

Okres Zwykły trwa w roku kościelnym 33 lub 34 tygodnie. Jest to zatem najdłuższy okres liturgiczny. Ukazuje misterium Chrystusa w całej jego pełni, a nie tylko w jakimś jednym wybranym aspekcie, jak to ma miejsce w liturgii pozostałych okresów. W okresie zwykłym obowiązuje zielony kolor szat liturgicznych. Składa się on z dwóch części:

Część I. rozpoczyna się w poniedziałek po święcie Chrztu Pańskiego i trwa do wtorku przed Środą Popielcową (obejmuje około 4-6 tygodni). W tym okresie obchodzi się: 25 stycznia – święto Nawrócenia św. Pawła Apostoła 2 lutego – święto Ofiarowania Pańskiego (Matki Bożej Gromnicznej). 14 lutego – święto świętych Cyryla, mnicha, i Metodego, biskupa, patronów Europy 22 lutego – święto Katedry św. Piotra, Apostoła

Część II. zaczyna się w poniedziałek po uroczystości Zesłania Ducha Świętego i kończy przed I Nieszporami I Niedzieli Adwentu. W tym czasie Kościół obchodzi wiele świąt i uroczystość, m.in.: 14 lutego – święto świętych Cyryla, mnicha, i Metodego, biskupa, patronów Europy 22 lutego – święto Katedry św. Piotra, Apostoła poniedziałek po Zesłaniu Ducha Świętego – święto Najświętszej Maryi Panny, Matki Kościoła niedziela po Zesłaniu Ducha Świętego

Zapis do parafii

Do każdego więc, który się przyzna do Mnie przed ludźmi, przyznam się i Ja przed moim Ojcem, który jest w niebie. Lecz kto się Mnie zaprze przed ludźmi, tego zaprę się i Ja przed moim Ojcem, który jest w niebie.

Ewangelia według św. Mateusza 10, 32-33

Nasza Parafia, posiada status parafii personalnej, co oznacza, że parafianinem jest jedynie ta osoba, która zadeklaruje chęć przynależności poprzez zapis do parafii.

Coniedzielny udział we Mszach Świętych w polskich kościołach, czy fakt zamieszkania na terenie parafii nie jest jednoznaczny z przynależnością do niej.

Również fakt, że ktoś w naszej parafii uczestniczył w naukach przedmałżeńskich, zawarł małżeństwo czy ochrzcił dziecko nie oznacza automatycznej przynależności do parafii, gdyż w naszej wspólnocie mają miejsce śluby i chrzty osób także spoza parafii.

Każdy parafianin, może otrzymać rózne zaświadczenia wynikające z przynależności do danej wspólnoty oraz załatwić wszelkie formalności związane z sakramentami, jak np;

• chrzest czy sakrament małżeństwa.

• otrzymywać zaświadczenia aby zostać, matką/ojcem chrzestnym

• świadkiem bierzmowania

• świadkiem ślubu

• mogą też otrzymać pozwolenie na Chrzest św. własnego dziecka w innej parafii (np. w Polsce), albo zgodę na ślub w innej parafii

• pozwolenie na pogrzeb w Polsce

Po każdej Mszy Świętej w zakrystii i kancelarii, można otrzymać formularze zapisu do parafii.

Przykazania kościelne:

1. W niedzielę i święta nakazane uczestniczyć we Mszy świętej i powstrzymać się od prac niekoniecznych.

2. Przynajmniej raz w roku przystąpić do sakramentu pokuty.

3. Przynajmniej raz w roku, w okresie wielkanocnym przyjąć Komunię Świętą.

4. Zachowywać nakazane posty i wstrzemięźliwość od pokarmów mięsnych, a w okresach pokuty powstrzymywać się od udziału w zabawach.

5. Troszczyć się o potrzeby wspólnoty Kościoła.

SAN VICENTE (Siglo III) 22 de enero San Vicente nació en Zaragoza, España y, debido a su buen uso de la palabra y formación académica, fue nombrado como coadjutor del obispo Valerio para que le ayudara en la predicación, pues el obispo era tartamudo. Una vez ordenado diácono se distinguió por la predicación elocuente y la defensa de la fe. Fue arrestado mientras visitaba a su obispo, preso a causa de la persecución impulsada por el emperador Daciano quien, al saber que visitó a su obispo mandó que lo apresaran, haciéndolo caminar desde Zaragoza hasta Valencia. Una vez preso se le sometió a la tortura, no obstante, la tortura no lograba nada y el emperador, lleno de ira, mandó que golpearan a los torturadores. Posteriormente le hizo encerrar en una celda oscura, llena de tiestos filosos para que se cortara sus pies, pero no renunció a su fe cristiana, convirtió al carcelero y cantó himnos de alabanza. LLAMADOS A SER SANTOS Este domingo comienza el Tiempo Ordinario. Las lecturas nos hablan sobre la relación de Dios con Israel y la relación de Juan Bautista con Jesús. La relación entre Dios e Israel es tan estrecha, tan íntima, que es por mediación de Israel que “la salvación [de Dios] llega hasta los últimos rincones de la tierra” (Isaías 49:6). Pero sabemos por Juan Bautista que para que Israel cumpla la voluntad de Dios, debe reconocer que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios. Durante estas semanas también llegamos a conocer a Jesús. Comenzamos a entender más profundamente nuestra relación con Jesús y lo que la misma significa para nosotros, que somos “su pueblo santo” (1 Corintios 1:2). Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

Registración a la Parroquia

Nuestra parroquia tiene el estatus de Parroquia Personal, lo que significa que solo la persona que declara su voluntad de pertenecer a la parroquia es considerado un feligrés.

Todos los domingos, la participación en misas, o el hecho de vivir en la parroquia no es sinónimo de pertenecer a ella.

Además, el hecho de que alguien en nuestra parroquia haya participado en las enseñanzas prematrimoniales, se casó o bautizó a un niño no significa pertenecer automáticamente a la parroquia, porque en nuestra comunidad hay bodas y bautizos de personas de fuera de la parroquia.

Cada feligrés puede recibir varios certificados por medio de pertenecer a una comunidad determinada y organizar todos los trámites relacionados con los sacramentos, por ejemplo:

• El bautismo o el Sacramento del matrimonio. • Recibir certificados para ser padrino/a de

confirmación o testigo/a de boda. • También pueden recibir permiso para ser

bautizados o bautizar a su propio hijo/a en otra parroquia (por ejemplo, en sus respectivos Países)

• Permiso para casarse en otra parroquia.
