VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH STUDY
Rose Karam, a parishioner of St. George, is con-ducting her doctoral research study to increase the understanding of the role of the Maronite Church among 3rd and 4th generation American Lebanese. As a Maronite, you are in an ideal po-sition to give valuable firsthand information from your own perspective. The interview takes around 30 minutes and is very informal. Your participation will be a valuable addition to this research and findings could lead to greater public understanding of the Maronite church and its people. If you are willing to participate please contact Rose Bashara Karam at [email protected] or by phone at 210-232-5124.
OCTOBER NAM AWARENESS MONTH NAM Awareness is a time to reflect upon NAM and it’s service to the clergy and laity of the Mar-onite Church in the USA. It is also the time for the laity to make their membership commitment to the apostolate. NAM helps preserve the Syriac-Maronite Tradition in several ways; making peo-ple more aware of their Church and strengthening it for future generations. This is accomplished through various programs and projects which are supported through membership dues, convention profits and NAM’s annual spring raffle. The Nam convention in 2018, will be held in Hou-ston, Texas, on July 12-15. Your membership dues will afford you a discount on registration fees for you and your family.
