Update on Prince Closing The developer has requested an exten-sion on the closing of Prince Avenue. The deadline is now October. Every deadline missed by the developer means additional funds are placed into escrow. Unfortunately, the Archdiocese will not let us start on planning the new church until Prince is sold and we know the total funds we have to begin our plans. Right now, we are estimating 5.5 million for the property and 3 million from our Capital Campaign. We recognize everyone’s frustration at the long process and thank you for your patience. In every cloud, God sends a silver lin-ing—this delay enables our RE program to use the Prince parking lot during home football games to raise money! This will be a great blessing as we have over 400 students in RE this year!

40 Years of Charity

St. Joseph Charities are gearing up for their 40th year helping those in our community! Stay tuned for information on a celebration as well as the Giving Tree Program.

Marriage Encounter School is here already, so put the home improvement projects on hold for a while. But not all of them, because the best “home improvement “ is the one you make in your marriage relationship. Increase the Romance, Love and Passion with a weekend away from the day-to-day grind and focus on the one you love. The Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend is 44 hours where married cou-ples can really make some “home im-provements”. The next available WWME Weekends are Sep 15-17 and Nov 3-5 at the Atlanta Marriott Peachtree Corners. You can get more information or apply online at GATN-wwme.org or by calling 678-242-WWME.

I may be poor but no millionaire can be

so happy as me, if they haven’t got the

love of God in their souls. Think what it

is—not to hate anything but evil; to be

full of love for every creature; to be

frightened of nothing; to be sure that all

things will turn to good; to know that

nothing can separate us from God who

loves us, and who fills our souls with

peace and joy.

This blessedness is offered to everyone;

it is the good news that Jesus came to

preach to the poor.

Come join us for an Apologetics Series with Fr. Paul! The word “apologetics” refers

to explaining the Catholic faith to those who disagree with it or don’t understand it.

The term comes from the Greek word “apologia”, which means explanation. In this

use of the term, we are not talking about making an apology for some kind of offense

or mistake, but rather explaining why the Catholic faith is true, reasonable, and re-

demptive. All mature Catholics needs to be able to do this in order to fulfill their mis-

sion as witnesses of Christ and missionaries in the world.

Series topics include “Common Ground, Bishop Robert Barron, and Intelligent De-

sign.”

There is no charge for classes; food to be provided by participants on a rotating basis

via sign up sheets.

Classes start August 16/17
