He will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (wealth).(Luke 16:13) Is money a “god” that you put before God? Giving money to support the Church and other charity is a pillar of our faith, just like attending Mass every Sunday and participating in parish ministry. Giving money frees us from being a slave to money. It increases our dependence on God and our trust that God will provide all that we need. Cluster Shawl Ministry The next meeting for this Ministry will be Thurs., October 3rd, from 6:30 to 8pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Dudley. The Fall Miraculous Medal “Novena” The nine-week Novena will be held on Monday nights at 6:30 pm continuing through November 4. ~ St. Louis Mass Book ~ The Mass Book for 2020 is now available. For this year, there are still Sanctuary Lamps available. The offering for each is $10. Rectory Office hours are Mon Fri., 9-3pm. Cemetery Fall Cleanup On Monday, September 30, 2019, we will be starting our fall cleanup of all the Diocesan Cemeteries that are currently managed by the Diocesan Cemetery Group. Please have all flowers, plants, pots and decorations removed by Sunday, September 29, 2019. Anything remaining after this date will be removed and discarded. The next date that winter baskets and decorations may be placed in cemeteries is on or after December 1, 2019. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Bishop Robert J. McManus will celebrate the Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, October 20 at 3 pm at the Cathedral of St. Paul, Worcester. This liturgy of thanksgiving to God for many years of faithful witness to the sacredness of Christian marriage honors couples who are marking significant anniversaries (25th, 40th, 50th, etc.) this year. A light reception will follow downstairs in the Cenacle. Family and friends are welcome! Couples wishing to attend should pre-register no later than October 11 so that commemorative certificates may be issued. 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

You cannot serve God and mammon (wealth).” (Luke 16:13) Is money a “god” that you put before God?
