    He Is Risen

Alleluia! The Holy and Glorious Resurrection of Christ is celebrated in many ways throughout the world, but always with the same sense of astonishment and joy. On Easter we celebrate an enormous victory that seems to have been won against all odds that is, until we remember the power of God. It is God who gives life and who receives it back again after its course on earth is complete. It is God who declared all human life to be precious and good. And, it is God who intended that we should live in the fullness of life forever.

    Wishing you and your family

    a beautiful & grace-filled

    Easter Season!

    Stewardship Reflection

Think of what is above, not of what is on earth. Col. 3:2

On this day we thank God for His Son, Jesus, who died and rose for us. We celebrate and sing Alleluia. Lets try to keep the joy of this Easter season in our hearts throughout the year! Pray daily and listen for how He is calling each of us to joyfully use our gifts to fulfill His salvation plan.

    Your Sacrificial Offering

The Language of Angels Have you ever accidentally discovered a gift or talent within yourself that you were unaware of? I recently had this experience right here at St. Marys during the 9:00 AM Mass. Some folks are gifted with wisdom while others excel in hospitality or piety. Others are known for their patience and kindness. My gift is not included in this list, but I know that it is real. I have the ability to translate the language of angels! Huh? Angels talk? I bet you are thinking that right now! Oh yes, angels talk sometimes in hushed voices, sometimes quite loudly. They also speak through their tears, their imaginations and their constant activity. Just last week at Mass, a three year old was heard saying, Grandma dont pray now, Wake up! I couldnt help but laugh and wonder what he was really saying? I translate this angel talk like this. Grandma, I know that we are in Gods house and I also know that you like to talk to God, probably about me. But I need you to look at me now. Did you forget that when you see me, you see the face of God? Shortly after the homily, two young siblings were playing a few pews ahead of me. They were very quiet but their constant movement back and forth and over each other began to create a song of joy within me and the lyrics I heard became a prayer: Dear God, I long to have the inner freedom and confidence of these children. They are so aware of Your love for them that they can dance before You in this sacred space. Help me to be more child-like. I believe that this newly discovered gift of mine is truly a blessing! Whenever I see one of these angels skipping, running, crying or laughing, I have to pause and smile. And as I listen for their message, I hear... We are all Gods children! Perhaps you may want to ask God to give you the ability to translate the language of angels, also.

Sharing the Gospel It was very early in the morning on Sunday. The tomb stone was rolled away. Jesus was gone. All that was left inside were the strips of linen cloth. When John and Peter saw it, they were amazed. They did not understand all the promises the prophets wrote about Jesus yet. However, they knew he was alive. He had risen from the dead!
