Change in Mass and Confession Times Placer County has moved into the red stage, which means we have been given permission to move back indoors! Please note the following revised Mass & Confession times beginning this week (for Masses on Sept. 19/20): Daily Mass (M-F): 7:30am English Saturday Vigil Masses: 4:30pm Eng.; 6:30pm Spanish Sunday Masses: 8 & 10am English; 12pm Spanish Confessions: Saturdays from 10-11 am or by appt.

Adult Bible Study
Faith Enrichment Study This Fall!
On behalf of the St. Rose Adult Bible Study team, we would like
to invite you to join us for an online (using Zoom) faith enrich-
ment study beginning this fall!
Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life
is a 10-week video study program and book. Anchored in the life
of Christ as presented in the Gospels, this study explores the
entirety of Jesus’ life—who He is, what He is really like, what He
taught, what He did for our salvation, and what all of this means
for us as Catholics today.
Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life will be offered
at two different times:
Tuesdays from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. beginning Sep-tember 22 and ending December 8 (with two break weeks)
Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. beginning September 23 and ending December 9 (with two break weeks)

Pray for Vocations
From Mother’s Day to Administrative Professionals’ Day and Grandparent’s Day, there are many days throughout the year designated to honor special people in our lives. In addition to the well-known Father’s Day held the third Sunday in June each year when children honor their dads (and apologize for all the grey hairs they’ve caused throughout the years) the last Sunday in September is Priesthood Sunday and is set aside to thank our spiritual fathers—our priests. The role of priests is essential to the prosperity of the Church. Priests wear many hats in the Church, yet the most important is to be a mediator between God and us. Without priests, there would be no one to transform the bread into the Body of Christ, no one to absolve us of our sins, no one to marry us, bury us, and the list goes on…
There are many ways you and your family can show your ap-preciation. Here are some suggestions: Send a card or note letting him know you will set aside time
to pray for his protection and for God’s grace or a note of thanks for a time he had a positive impact on you life.
Make a gift basket of baked goods, coffee, etc. A gift card to a restaurant, Catholic store or for gas.
Remember to pray for an increase of vocations to the priest-hood and remember also our wonderful priests who devote their lives to us each and every day.

Desde el Día de las Madres hasta el Día de los Profesionales Admin-istrativos y el Día de los Abuelos, hay muchos días durante el año designados para honrar a personas especiales en nuestras vidas. Además del conocido Día del los Padres que se celebra el tercer do-mingo de junio de cada año, cuando los niños honran a sus padres (y se disculpan por todas las canas que han causado a lo largo de los años), el último domingo de septiembre es el domingo del sacerdocio y está reservado. para agradecer a nuestros padres espirituales, nuestros sacerdotes. El papel de los sacerdotes es esencial para la prosperidad de la Iglesia. Los sacerdotes tienen muchos papeles en la Iglesia, pero el más importante es ser un mediador entre Dios y no-sotros. Sin sacerdotes, no habría nadie que transforme el pan en el Cuerpo de Cristo, nadie que nos absuelva de nuestros pecados, nadie que nos case, nos entierre, y la lista sigue…
Hay muchas formas en que usted y su familia pueden mostrar su agradecimiento. Aquí hay algunas sugerencias:
Envíele una tarjeta o nota para hacerle saber que dedicará tiem-po a orar por su protección y la gracia de Dios, o una nota de agradecimiento por el momento en que tuvo un impacto positivo en su vida.
Haga una canasta de regalo con productos horneados, café, etc.
Una tarjeta de regalo para un restaurante, tienda católica o para gasolina.
Recuerde orar por un aumento de vocaciones al sacerdocio y recuerde también a nuestros maravillosos sacerdotes que dedican su vida a nosotros todos los días.
TODAY’S GOSPEL REFLECTION: DIRECTION
Isaiah tells us something that we already know, and yet seem to forget every now and then. He tells us, essentially, that God is God and we are not. When we’re confused and troubled and can’t figure everything out, it might be wise to recall Isaiah speaking on the Lord’s behalf and explaining that God—who is on a much more, well, Godly wavelength than we are—moves in ways we can’t even imagine. Saint Paul, by comparison, has everything figured out. Kind of. At least he understands his calling in life—to magnify Christ in everything he does. That should give all of us the direction we need. Jesus gives us direction, too, explaining to us once again in the parable of the workers in the vineyard that the last will be first, and the first, last.

REFLEXIÓN DEL EVANGELIO DE HOY: DIRECCIÓN
Isaías nos dice algo que ya sabemos, pero que parecemos olvidar de tanto en tanto. Nos dice, en esencia, que Dios es Dios y nosotros no lo somos. Cuando estamos confundidos, llenos de problemas y no podemos solucionarlo todo, tal vez sea sabio recordar a Isaías (alguien que está más en la sin-tonía divina que nosotros) hablando en nombre del Señor y explicando que Dios se mueve de maneras que ni siquiera po-demos imaginar.
En comparación, san Pablo lo ha resuelto todo. Casi todo. Cu-ando menos entiende su llamado en esta vida: dar gloria a Cris-to en todo lo que hace. Esto debería marcar el rumbo para no-sotros. Jesús también nos marca el camino, explicándonos una vez más en la parábola de los viñadores que los últimos serán los primeros, y que los primeros serán los últimos.
