Salt Spring Events is thrilled to host its second annual Salt Spring Music & Garlic Festival drawing community members and visitors alike together on August 6 & 7, 2016 to celebrate music, garlic and Salt Spring Island.
Last year‘s family-oriented festival was a huge success attracting over 2500 attendees and 150 volunteers. As such, we are truly motivated to deliver another outstanding event this year, with eyes high on growing attendance by at least 50%.
We have already received a significant amount of support even at such an early stage of event planning for this year’s festival. To date, two dozen farming vendors along with local and regional sustainable food vendors, Kid’s Zone, garlic cook off, music workshops, and two days of top-class musical talent are included in our planned festivities.
And of course, we must remember that what sets the Salt Spring Music & Garlic Festival apart is its focus on three major facets of Salt Spring Island:
Music - Farming - Community
By driving festival proceeds back into the community in the form of grants and bursaries for music, farming and student education, Salt Spring Events is creating a strong, sustainable and successful community - our community.

Our Mandate: Salt Spring Events strives to create sustainable farming, musical and education opportunities
on Salt Spring Island by providing grants and bursaries to the
aforementioned sectors driven by the Salt Spring Music & Garlic Festival
proceeds.
