Holiday arriv- als now make up 39% of the total inbound market. Samoa Tourism Authority’s Fasitau Ula says the holiday market began outpacing VFR in around 2006 and continued until the tsunami of 2010, when there was an increase in New Zealand-based Samoans keen to get home and help out their family.
